    Greetings,
Now I’ve come to understand that many on this forum hate these cars with a passion. However, I appreciate what they attempt to do. To provide an experience that only the few owners of an original can enjoy but often don’t. To be able to beat on them without worry of damaging or devaluing a piece of valuable history.

This car was just delivered to me yesterday and while I was only able to drive her for an extended trip around the block, I can already tell that after some sorting, it’s going to be a blast! My history may be imperfect but the build was commissioned by LeMans and hill climb champion Regis Fraissinet in the 80’s and later sold to JP Von Rossem. I understand Roseem did try to pass it off as original. Not sure how as it is clearly a fake. Built from a ‘63 GTE and utilizing a 330 #209 motor it’s a very capable thing which I’m hoping delivers plenty of miles with smiles.

I get that it’s not an exact copy and I almost prefer it that way. It was built by a racing driver to go racing. He obviously didn’t care that it wasn’t perfect and neither do I. It is what all my cars are meant to be...fun. I look forward to any comments or even better someone who knows more of its history. The car came with a binder full of receipts, old period pictures and correspondence from Fraissinet.

    Thanks for looking!

I imagine that 250 GTE would be long gone anyway, it clearly puts a smile on your face even with all those other options surrounding it, and that is all that matters at the end of the day, I doubt you will be losing sleep over what a bunch of strangers on a car forum do seem to lose sleep over!

I wouldn't kick this out of bed.

Sure it's not "real" but it looks like it would be an absolute BLAST to rip around.

Enjoy it in good health, and when that 12 howls, just smile!

    I love it, Dave!

When you say it was “a delivered to you” does that mean that you’re the owner? The mechanic?

Would it perhaps be up for sale?

@Smiles I am the new owner of this car so for the time being it’s unlikely to be for sale. Will she ultimately join the ranks of “permanent collection”? Too soon to tell!

@ronc52 Gorgeous example you have there and thank you for the kind words.

4 liters of Colombo engine in a lightweight car sounds like a lot of fun!

I no way do I mean this as a criticism, but just for the record all of the Fantuzzi-bodied Testa Rossas were RHD.

Absolutely stunning. I have been looking for a recreation, for some time now but have had a hard time as they do not come up too often. Please if ever you hear of one for sale, I have no issue with a finder’s fee. PM me anytime. Thanks

I think its awesome and as long as the owner isnt trying to pass it off as original, whats the harm? Enjoy it and drive it.
