I would have. They just took too long and the uncertainty about whether ECU had to be interfered with for even longer made me set my mind to Novitec. Kline was my first option.
Love the sound. Interesting that you can barely hear the turbo whistle. Maybe because of the sport cats? For a second it looked like my car. What a coincidence it is also white. However, I think this may be a Spider.
The turbo whistle always seems more apparent when driving at higher RPM, hopefully they will release a video driving and not stationary revving...
If you listen to the video from Novitec and TAG with the Novitec system, you can clearly hear the whistle while stationary "revving".
I contacted Kline via email and they told me they are developing their own OBD port plugin, estimating availability in 2-3 months. Cat down pipes are available in 100 or 200 cell, and they use HJS cats- which are considered by most as the best available. You can buy the entire inconel Kline system for about the same price as the Novitec race exhaust in stainless steel. Seems to be the winner...
Seems like they released a little too soon but they were so behind on it that, I think, they felt the pressure to release an incomplete kit. I would have gone with them if they had not been so delayed and had their OBD plugin all at once. I am sure that this is hurting them, but only in the short term. They do make great products. In the end, they will still be great as they have been.
Agreed. I'm waiting on Kline. No issues with Novitec, but I had Kline Inconel on my Turbo S and loved it, so I'd prefer to use them again.
Just ordered my Kline Valvetronic in SS, along with Novitec's Tectronic. I'll let you know guys when it arrives, and of course how it sounds.
Correct, no cats. I'm going to try the exhaust with my stock cats first to see if I like it. If it's not loud enough, I'll add their 200-cell cats. I don’t think Kline has developed a OBD plugin yet? if your talking about the valve controller, folks have been reporting that the “ inconel “ button does not work on the Pista or F8.
No. I’m talking about the OBD module to prevent a CEL when you install the exhaust. I ordered it with my exhaust. It’s around $500.00.
Do you know if the Kline inconel button valve controller works on the F8? Pista guys have reported does not work for them...
I have the Novitec valve-less exhaust. Cold start is brutally louder. Not the loudest I have heard, do not think Lambo EVO loud, but it is significantly louder. Once cold start is over, it quiets down a bit. Has a nice rumble, but when you accelerate it, it is very decent. I will wait before I do anything more as there is a consensus that it will get louder with time. If not happy, then it will get sport catalytics.
