I’m pretty sure we had one in Atlanta as well.

I went there, 30 years ago as a wild guess!
Was before we moved to DFW. I was in town for a conference.
Was the first time I ever tried lamb "fries"!

    Steve,
If you like cheese soup, they serve it every Saturday at Henk's Black Forest Bakery in Dallas. Just behind 1/2 price books at Loop 12 just east of 75.
Henk worked for the original owner in the 70' when I started going there. He's now the owner. Great food and bakery items to go also.

I'm not sure if same thing, but doesn't Flying Saucer do a cheese soup in bread bowl?

I believe I may still have gift certificates to Baby Doe's. My wife and I were given gift certificates, we went over there to use them, they had a sign up that they were remodeling...damn that has to be back in 2006. We left Dallas in late 2007. That is going to be a beautiful place since any remodel that takes 15 years is gonna be damn nice when I go back. Think they will still honor those gift certificates??

I forgot all about Baby Does, but I believe they fully demolished it.

As a kid, seeing Baby Does up on the hill while coming down Stemmons it always looked like a magical place. That and the Coors waterfall billboard were cool. My wife and I went to the grand opening of the Baby Does in Atlanta I believe in 1982, we were dating then, while in college.

If I remember correctly, the Baby Doe’s recipe included Coors beer... lol

I *never* ate there. No idea why, it was just never on the radar. It had an iconic location, and you can’t forget the waterfall sign....
