It'd be a huge job to modify otherwise.

Just looked it up on that internet thingy. It is front wheel drive. So the entire drive train must have been ditched, plus the cabin floor highly modified to take the real wheel driveshaft etc. Big expensive job, but a fun outcome.

So we all agree they WERE front wheel drive which would get zero traction carrying that weight on the rear. Plus the original motor would be useless with the weight. So they would have to convert it to rear wheel drive and change to a much more powerful engine. Phew, I'm glad that's sorted put.

I've absolutely no idea what this ^^^^ means.

Tissier Citroens used ALL the original running gear and hydropneumatics.
weighed up to 2.5 tonnes before the load and could cruise at up to 100MPH FFS good luck with THAT in outback Aussie.
