The more I look at the two cars the more I like the Aperta. Vortex generators are my least favourite feature on this car. I don't get the folks who passed on the Aperta to get the Coupe.

NOOOOO!!! Take it back !!!!!!!!! :it’s a fab way of moving the inside of the cockpit forward to give the driver zone more impact !!.. or saves in the rear screen recall. :)

I know 4 Aperta guys offered and 4 accepted - I respect any guy who passed on the Aperta for a coupe - I doubt there are (m)any... happy to be proved wrong but I don’t think so ....Please be gentle when you shoot me down if you are 1 of them but I don’t expect any ...

Also - imho , the Vortex generators add a nice piece of drama as well as some aerodynamic advantage .... why be vanilla ? So much better to be flamboyant and colourful ( Uk spelling ) esp when you are an Italian style AND function icon such as Ferrari ..... and deliver the goods in visual /aural/tactile /sensual ways that most cars these days don’t . Forza Ferrari ! And good wine ! And good food ! And great opera ! And good Zegna cloth ! And good Modena balsamic vinegar ! And good Parmesan cheese ! .... Ferrari is a luxury , function , branding and a style icon - for me , things such as Vortex generators /9500rpm/Carbon blades ALL add to the magic dust ... I admit I’m a Ferrari fanatic - blinded sometimes ( love does that ) , but from what I’ve seen of the C and CA on videos - it illicits EXACTLY the emotion /desire it needs to in me - Same as my other F cars . Sorry , went off piste there but more enthused at looking forward to more info /vids etc than before the launch .

I know of a triple yellow TDF that just sold for $975 k USD. Strong money 5 years later...if anyone cares to know.

Yes, it's truly stunning and quite an improvement over the 812SF.

    Agree,
To my eyes only, a more balanced design compared to the TDF either.

That’s an interesting point I don’t think I have ever seen written about this brand and is oddly enough a point that most Ferrari fans seem to want to avoid in the brand identity—drama and flamboyance. These are details often associated with the other company down the street and I am frankly surprised they designed it this way moreover surprised some clear deep fans like yourself actually want that in a Ferrari.

Some exquisite detailing there. I don't really think its valid to compare TDF and Comp, or GTO for that matter. Aren't we glad they all exist? Would you change the personality and identity of any of them? I don't own the first two but have an allocation for the Comp, but I think they are all wonderful. I couldn't bring myself to criticise the TDF too much, even though I love what they have done with the Comp. I loved the TDF from the moment I saw Kimi light up the rears and create three vertical plumes of smoke through those rear vents - literally pointless, but so good! I completely agree with Jag, the Comp's rear treatment adds real drama and makes the car quite unique in Ferrari land. Don't we want some drama and excitement in our motoring lives?

Yes indeed. Just noting it is a rare point of view since classic styling and heritage is more likely the desire than future design or cutting edge.

Agreed! In my opinion, the rear looks way better..because I've never been a fan of the squared exhaust "boxes" of the F12tdf.

All in all, it's an excellent design.

Where is Clarkson's "Cool Board" when you need it!
It could go all the way to the left or to the right near the small fridge being subzero...
I think it looks so silly it becomes cool again!
