Hello FerrariChat member's, My name is Pierre (50) and for a little over 2 years, I'm the VERY proud owner of a '95 456GT Canna di Facile/Tan. Here at the Paul Ricard: Image Unavailable, Please Login As you would suppose after knowing my name: my Ferrari and me are living on the french Riviera a few miles from Aix-en-Provence, so does my wife and 2 girls (18 & 16). As for many of you, buying this can has been a dream come true. A dream that started over 40 years ago, even my room at Mass. Maritime was full of Ferrari poster. Oh yes I forgot! I've been a Master on a coastal tanker for the last 20 years and at sea for more than 25, and before that I went to finish my High school (N.Weymouth, MA) in the US in '89 before joining the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. It was during my senior year that the 456 was released and at the time owning one was the goal to achieve. I know I will learn a lot reading through your threads, and I hope I'll be able to bring a little contribution to this beautiful community. Image Unavailable, Please Login
6 speed ? I was in Poisy Cedex last year. Awesome chocolate croissant and cafe. Beautiful car. Enjoy.
Welcome Pierre. Beautiful car and location. CdF/Tan is one of my favorite color combos on the lovely 456 body.
Image Unavailable, Please Login Of what I know the GTA were more or less produced for the States to replace the 412A, but the European market has never been so fond of Automatic transmission. Ever today in France 456GTA cost less than 456GT while they've been produced in lesser quantities. Thank you
Congratulations in achieving your dream: half of the thrill is the fact that you got there yourself. As others have stated: the 456 is very colour sensitive... CdF/tan is one of the nicest colour combos... very very classy!! Do your children still fit on the back seats: it’s a real 2+2 but I wonder if it’s still comfortable for an adult to travel long distances. Welcome to the 456 family: there are a lot of friendly and very knowledgeable people on this forum.
Yes the back seat are confortable enough for long distances for young adult girls. On the other hand do I want to do long distances with a 26 years old Ferrari, even if new that model was made for it.
Hi, Well my wife and oldest daughter (now turning 25) have sat there for considerable drives (Stavanger to Oslo via the mountains, Frankfurt to Zürich, etc.) and never complained about anything except too loud music! (1995 456GT) Cheers!
Beautiful car, perfect colours, and you will be living in the perfect location to enjoy it. Do you have another car for daily driving or long distances? My children are the same age and still require transportation services.
