Many dealer offered extended warranties are through Freedom Warranty, under the manufacturer brand name. You can text, call or email, with any specific questions to the contact information above.

My Ferrari dealer charges $300/hr for labor. I think this would barely cover more than 55%. Are the plans flexible?

Can you describe the warranty process?

For example, I’m driving my 458, I hear clunking in the suspension over bumps. I make an appointment and am told what it is, dealer does repair? Or is there a lengthy claims process for every instance I need to use the warranty with someone at your company who has to approve everything in advance?

Not all dealer rates are the same, our local one is only $165/hr. You could always take it to a specialist, and get a more affordable hourly rate, the good thing about Freedom Warranty is you have the option, not every company covers authorized Ferrari dealer repair. As long as your claim is after a month or 1,000 miles, whichever comes first, and you car needs a repair on something that is not listed under "not covered" in the contract, then the bill is sent and handled by Freedom Warranty. The repairs will need approval but are handled in a timely manor.

Since my factory warranty is expiring in July, this post caught my eye. I would suggest to anyone considering any aftermarket warranty from any company:

    1) Ask the shop or dealer who services your car what their experience is with the warranty you are considering;

    2) Pay close attention to the BBB complaints, they are more documented than short Google reviews as the company responds to the BBB and reveals the process behind denials. Watch for things like requesting documentation of previous oil changes, use of aftermarket or remanufactured parts, claims denied due to modifications to the car, delays in reaching the company for approval when your car is disassembled on a lift, and the company sending inspectors to examine the car who dispute the cause of or need for the repair — i.e., that was a pre-existing issue, or that oil line is seeping, not leaking, etc.

    3) An excellent rule of thumb is it is far better to buy a warranty that specifies ONLY what is NOT covered as opposed to what IS covered, especially on cars like these, because there are many expensive parts that will not be specifically named as covered on a generic list of common vehicle components, which is a rather large loophole to deny claims. If you know what a DCT speed sensor, for example, or a variator is — and costs on a Ferrari — you will want to see them named if the warranty specifies only the parts covered.

    4) Caveat emptor. Warranty companies do not make a profit by approving repairs, they lose money when they pay out.

The fact their policy has a cap spend of $20K was a deal breaker for me.

Thank you for posting your product:

    1. Does the warranty allow for aftermarket modifications as indicated by the photographs in your ad? For example aftermarket wheels, will that affect suspension claims under your warranty?

    2. Is there an alternative that your warranty will cover fair market rate? As another member posted, I don’t know of a Ferrari dealership that charges $165 an hour. Or is the intention of this policy to push business to independent shops? Either way is OK just asking.

    3. Are payments made directly to the dealership via credit card or do they have to wait on a check? I’ve had other models repaired at the dealership and I was unable to pick up my car until payment had been received.

    4. Does your policy cover roadside assistance to the closest Dealership?

    5. Will you offer a sample policy price, for a 2015 Ferrari F 12 with 7,000 miles currently, for say 12 months?

    6. How would I get a copy of a contract to review?

Thank you for taking the time to post and answer questions from members!

Great consumer advice here, all of our service contracts are non coverage specified like you suggest.

    1. Wheels wouldn't void your coverage
    2. Freedom Warranty does not carry a policy that covers full market value, Scottsdale, Ferrari is $165/hr. Ferrari's make up a very small amount of contracts issued, the intention is confidence in the repair work because coverage is redeemable by authorized dealers, obviously coverage would strecth further on your more average vehicle.
    3. Digital payment
    4. Roadside assistance is covered, as far as to your local dealer, I'm not completely sure based on how case by case distance would be.
    5. I would need your vin for a specific quote, but a recent one was 2011 Ferrari 458 21k miles, $6,160 for 5yrs / 100k miles in coverage.
    6. Send me an email at [email protected] and I can email you a sample contract.

You mentioned 10 years or newer. My 2010 458 would not qualify for this?

We could always give it a shot, 10 years is the general rule, but like all things with a Ferrari, they're treated a little different.
