Interesting that they sold Benny's FXX back then and bought another now. Understandable considering how amazing the FXX sounds.
It appeared to have some (minor?) work done at a prominent race shop in Florida. I saw some photos of it on a lift with the wheels off.
I’m not sure why it’s where it is. It seems to me that Al Roberts took great care of it for many years.
Perhaps Al retired? I remember shooting the car at Preston's house while he and Al fussed on another car like it was yesterday....it was over twenty years ago

I drove the Daytona once a few years ago, , from the Cavallino show field back to wherever the transporter was parked, somewhere in West Palm Beach. It was a good time. I think it has a comp or near-comp motor.
Very sad. I had so many good times taking my young son there to see the cars. A poignant reminder that you can’t take it with you. Eventually it all gets sold off.
