Cost of 8 year major service on FF?

Did they state why on earth they would change ignition coils at 13k miles?

 

I bought the 2 years full warranty extension after year 3 standard warranty for the 458.....$10,000. Received zero benefit as nothing broke. I skipped it on the 2017 F12. No problems with that car since the initial 3 years expired. Good money saved.

 

They said they were 8-9 yrs old.

 

My car is from 0313. Just (0321) had my 8th annual maintenance done at 60k. 1,3 keuro including 21% VAT, which would be around 1,3 k$ in the US ex TAX.

 

TT does the FF not have belts that need replaced?

 

Ferrari switched to chain timing between the 360 and 430. No more belts as of mid-2000s.

So when the service guy tells me they have to replace the belts on my FF, he must mean the Fan belt

I was just told my 2012 FF needs a hub carrier. Has anyone had this replaced? I have 46K miles

 

Theyre a standard coil on plug design. Just like most modern manufacturers do it. Right on top of the valve cover.

Do you mean the entire spindle?

It's the spindle or upright. Holds the wheel bearing and has a passthrough for an axle. If I had to bet there's a bushing that Ferrari doesn't sell a replacement for and rather recommends replacement of the whole upright. Mclaren does something similar. Pretty silly if that's the case as bushings are cheap.

 

Just got my car back from it's "8-year" service. $1,076.12 plus tax and that's Canadian dollars. 2014 with 22,000 kms.
