Has anyone ever attempted a F430 clutch on a quickjack? I’m feeling adventurous....or is it stupid?

    Any thoughts on this?

Whatever you are driving, I hope everyone has their top down and is enjoying summer.

You are my new hero, doing a Scud clutch job on axle stands. Anything I should consider, or am I best just getting in there? It doesn’t seem to be an overly difficult job, notwithstanding any F1 related/hydraulic issues.

Nothing too complicated really. Getting the bolt behind the oil tank was painful, so I also removed the oil tank. I'm sure you don't have to, but I took the chance to clean it up while I was in there. A couple of the bolts holding the upper engine brace thing were difficult to get to with the air injection system on the Scud, but maybe not so bad with a normal 430.

Gearbox wasn't removed per say, as much as it was dropped and turned to gain access to everything. Not sure how else you would get to the clutch...

Most of it doesn't need to be disconnected. Unbolt from the engine and the half shafts. Slide it back about 4 inches and remove clutch and flywheel and replace throw out bearing. I do not disconnect oil hoses, oil tank or F1 system.

    You work too hard.

Yeah, maybe! I did want to take the chance to detail and clean a bunch of stuff, and like I said with the oil tank, don't need to take it out, but access isn't great with it on.

I have done this job 100 times. Oil tank is not in the way.
