I’m not so certain about that. 1) Merc is complaining a lot about “flexi/bendy” wings and 2) Bottas is a bit of a wild card...seems like, he’s at the end of his run with the team.

The Mercedes drivers may have different styles, but Im surprised he - LH, did not try Bottas setup as it appeared very good early on.

I read that they did a set-up change right before qualifying that didn’t work out well at all. There was no time to rectify.

Perhaps they put a new part on that didn’t properly take (pure speculation on my part, no such indications that anything like this occurred)

In Monaco - understeer is death yes? Bottas had Max and Ferrari pace, while LH was attacking and overdriving which I think he had more understeer they could not remove.Yes probably too late and maybe they did not think or want to try Bottas' set up.

Even with that the tire wear Bottas experienced was not good and possibly he is P3 as well. No matter this mess, Mercedes did not make a damage limitation strategy that was effective. Early on that is ok, later it might be the title difference if it is so close 10 races on.

Pretty low class statement to me. If I'm in the team I'm not happy about it. He seemed really upset at what happened to Bottas. I didn't understand why. What ever happened to "that's racing"?

Why is everybody so in their feelings about Hamilton comments to his team? He praises them when they do good and hold them accountable when they don't, nothing wrong with his statements he expects excellence. You think he gonna be happy? Heck I think he should said more than that, he should have slap Bono, and Toto up side the head Lolll!!! I know you all happy to see Hamiltons rare off day but don't let it bother you, go get some ice cream or something lol

Wrong, if he such an amazing driver then he would shut his damn mouth up and put his head down and just drive. Lecrec had the worst car last year, undrivable and along with Ferrari’s mess up he did not once ***** or moan about it. MS never did that to his team, nor did Vettel!

Nope, I don't think Hamilton should turn into a goodie two shoes now. He didn't get 7 championships that way. As I said he should said more than he did, I don't think he said enough!

Yeah Schumacher did it differently, he honored his team buy ramming into ther drivers, creating more work for te mechanics.

I would expect his out lap on the soft tires and being lighter on fuel at the end would be faster than his out lap after first tire stop, no?

In any case, the undercut (going to hards) was not the good strategy today so, yes, though luck but that’s what most guys put up with when they’re dominating from the front.

When you win 7 titles because they gift you a vastly superior car, car you did nothing to develop or improve, you just feel like you deserve it, and you become a prick...although elton always was one.

The guy hates losing more than most. He wasn't happy with his car, and he said it.

Your right he did not win 7 championships that way. He won it by having the best mechanics, Toto and Lauda developing the best car for him. While he was off jet setting with Hollywood Celebs along with posting on Instagram and Twitter, his team was back at the factory working their butts off. MS on the other hand lived at the factory, worked day and night with the team.

And that’s a good excuse for to throw his team under the bus? He just totally sucked today. Pit strategy did not work, because Gasly was faster on his out lap then Hamilton was on his in lap. Vettel was just faster coming in and going out.

Yes Schumacher had to live at the factory in order to gain an advantage. Lewis had enough talent to travel and still win championships

Untypically Mercedes performed badly as a team this weekend.

In practice they never managed to dial Hamilton's car to his liking, and he qualified badly.

During the race, the tyre strategy wasn't too clever, although that is sometimes difficult to achieve at Monaco.

Bottas only did slightly better in qualifs only to be elimlinated by a wheelnut problem that shouldn't have existed.

    Lessons have to be learnt.
