    For delivery in the USA. Is it even practical? Does it come out of a dealer's allotment?

    I'm not trying to save any money here, just trying combine two dreams into one....I do have friends inside the company who could make the rough arrangements for me.

    I am not even clear how this would work??

    BTW - I did check the search function first, nothing on point came up.

    You may be able to work with your US dealer to visit Maranello and spec out your car at the atelier in the factory. I have seen customers at the factory and in the atelier, accompanied and escorted by their UK dealer reps doing just that.

    Back in 2006 when I ordered my 430 they had an option to take factory delivery but by the time they built the car in 2008 they had discontinued the program, it was all arranged through your dealer. Needless to say I was disappointed.
    As "mswiek" above states you can make arrangements through your dealer to go to the Atelier to spec your car but all ordering and delivery are strictly through your dealer.
    PS. they also have an Atelier in New York.
