I noticed those sharp corners as well. Excited to see what they’re cooking up as well as what FIAT does with that Maserati ME V6 platform.

The camo is shedding, and are those Monza wheels on it?

Exactly. No words about a new GTV or 8C, those were planned in the previous roadmap but probably cancelled now (or, at least, put on hold).

It occurred to me that some of the shapes on the prototype seemed very familiar. The high mounted air intake and clipped-off flying buttresses are something I've seen, before. Then I remembered: Dino 206 SP. Perhaps Ferrari is taking some design language from the Dino series, but not so much from the 246 as it is from the 206 SP.

Some months ago there were rumors about a MC-20 derived, limited series Alfa using the PHEV powertrain discarded by Maserati.
However, at the moment, I take these just as speculations.

If it has the stance of the 206 SP I would be very interested. But I think you can put two 206's inside one "little brother". :)

My point is part of what makes the 206 SP so attractive is the extreme curves stretched over a tiny frame without care of actual aerodynamics, crash protection, mass production, auto regulations, etc. Form follows function. Not sure you can really capture that magic again -- but you can make something rather attractive.

That being said, it would be interesting if you could order the star wheels in yellow. That hasn't been done since the 60's.

The 206 S was an inspiration source for the P80/C, hopefully the Dino will look just as stunning (but not as extreme).

"The P80/C’s unique design has strong and clear links to Ferrari racing classics like the 330 P3/P4, Dino 206 S and 250 LM

Thanks for the info, pre-pandemic Alfa seemed to have ambitious plans but as with everything nowadays that might have gone on a tangent.

Looking forward for the unveil of LB, the proportions look promising!

Should we be concerned that more words in that press release were dedicated to the restaurant and fashion apparel than to their all new car?

I think we should.. but I bet they’ll be making a ton of money from the fashion apparel.

Looks like there is something interesting going on above the engine cover. Could be padding, cammo, but maybe not.

After 94 pages, everybody is already anxious about the car, there is no need to say anything else. But nobody gives a **** about the other stuff, so they have to shove it down your throat.

Sounds likely and in line with what Mr. Massini wrote in another thread. Can't wait!

Recall when the 488 was coming out they had or resort to all kinds of fluff esp in the car videos to make it sexy because the car sadly sounded like azz.

i just don't see how they can sell this car alongside the F8. the argument is that so much R& D into the F8 and marketing and tooling. it's only been out for two years.

same price point. mid engine. nearly same size......

Who says they are planning on selling it all by side F8? From all I’ve heard, F8 is essentially done. LB coming soon

I have been told this car was supposed to replace the 488 but was not ready. The cynical explanation was Ferrari needed something in the product line to hold off McLaren. Regardless the LB will represent the latest technology available whereas the F8 was an evolution from the 458/488.

Ferrari needs this car to be very successful, it will be expected to hold the market for at least 8 years when you include the midterm M modification.

You are spot on, the car is late to market.
