Is it possible to get diagnostic live data from any of the OBD1 Ferraris like the 348? Ideally, someone cracked the communication code with the ECU and wrote a PC or Smartphone app to communicate to it.

I have not heard of anyone being able to do this.

Is there a Ferrari tool that can capture live data? If so, what connector is used on OBD1 348s and 355s?

There is a three wire connector near the ECUs that can be plugged into with an SD1 or SDX, I would think aftermarket readers would need to plug in there as well.

My F shop had a little F computer, connected via SDI (not SDII) to my 512TR

No one needs to "crack" this. It has been readily available, SD1, SD2, SDx, Autel, Texa, some work better then others even the Ferrari tools for some functions you will find the SD1 works but SD2 does not. As others have stated it is a three pin connector that you need the three pin Fiat connector to connect with.
