For those with F1 paddles and thinking of going boss kit and maybe spacing the wheel back, I always felt this setup was really cool. I forgot who posted this but man what an awesome looking setup.

I ended up buying the same steering wheel for my R34 and it's a OMP WRC 350mm FYI. Very dished I think around 70mm offset.

Bold choice. Looks great with the tan interior too. Truthfully driving with a timber wheel actually feels fantastic, one of the finer things in life IMO. I run one in my drift car just to try something different but might have to seriously consider one for the 355 since they are so nice to drive with.

Whilst I have the original wheel (agree with most of you; I don’t like it either!); car came with a little momo fitted. Personally I didn’t like it that much as it’s not oem and for my height obscures part of the instruments.

I just sourced a 348 wheel; it fits directly to the boss adapter. Much happier; just need to wire the horn up tonight.

If anybody wants a momo let me know; as new condition.

Ugh, that whole interior is just horrible. That poor 348.

@heinz_r well you've inspired me to also go wooden steering wheel.

Ended up with a Nardi 330mm wood deepcorn. 4th Nardi in my collection. Thankfully, wood wheels (especially this particular size and design) haven't really caught on in the tuner scene so it gets a pass for the 355.

Their black spoke ones have a darker wood finish than the polished spoke wheels, there's a comparison photo further down.

Final result I'm actually really happy with.

Having tried various 350mm and recently a 320mm, it's just the right size at 330mm for my preferences. Black spokes and offset design suits the car better than I thought. Lastly the harder wheel surface matches the hard metal shift knob perfectly.

    Pics for any curious souls:

Bored much? Please put those prototipos back on the old 911's where they belong. The woodies? Yikes. Your exquisitely designed F355's deserve better. Non airbag 355 or stock 360 wheel for me. Diameter of these still too wide. This is a sports car, the wheel shouldn't feel like it belongs in a bus.

I’m with you, I tried the Momo Monte Carlo for about six months, although I liked it much better than the OEM wheel, I felt it just didn’t fit the “period” of the car. I installed a 348 wheel this morning.

    The leather matching certainly helps.

Yep. The 348 has one of the world's best factory steering wheels. Love it. I'm surprised more of the 355 crowd don't use one.

Ahh, just can’t leave well enough alone. Purchased a used Ferrari 348 steering wheel back in June to replace my airbag wheel, although nice, a bit too much patina. Found these available new, although date code is 2005, from Eurospares. The workmen-ship isn’t quite as fine as back in the day, but very nice.

Workmanship looks fine to me. Leather seems to have a better match without years of build up from oily fingers. I think it looks fantastic.
