While the interior of my car is being redone, I have no seats. I was trying to find a solution so I could move my car safely in and out of the garage. A 300lb friend dropped by last night and solved the problem. A few minutes with a saw removed the other 3 legs and the armrests. Now I've got something with a shape uncannily like OEM. Plus, it's lightweight! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Cool. I've done many (similar, temporary) seat "conversions" on vintage cars. I once did several test-drives in a Daytona with a fancy (leather, swiveling) office arm-chair with its base/legs removed. I've done several trips to/from wheel alignment shop sitting on various 65-90 lbs sand (or more specifically concrete ready-mix) bags or other "ballast weight".
I once rode on a 935 , full tilt, around a race track as a passenger, sitting on some burlap sacks. In El Salvador clearly, as burlap is not quite accepted worldwide, as not fireproof. My nails are still on the roll cage Regards, Alberto
