Just to clarify, nothing you have said until today would be considered rude or abrasive. However, I think most people would agree that the following comments that you made earlier today could indeed be considered rude and make you seem like a jerk:

I don't need to spend any more time here explaining myself. Good luck selling your parts.

I've got the poser on ignore, so no idea what he is posting - but from what I do read, it looks like all he's doing now is trolling. Stop feeding the troll guys.

Remember the guy that put the 250 GTO engine in a Cobra (sit down for this and take a few Nitroglycerin pills..... the Cobra was a REPLICA, they called it a Cobrari). man, that was a cool project and I think in the late 80's or early 90's?

I'd suggest that Samcrac, Tavarish etc are pretty talentless compared with Mike. What he's doing is in a different league to the likes of the clickbait nonsense Samcrac and Tavarish produce, and which is clearly designed and produced solely to produce revenue, added to which at least Mike is putting his money where his mouth is and going to race the fruits of his considerable labour and financial outlay.

As a Brit, I enjoy Project Binky, but it has been drawn out far too long (though I understand why, as they both hold down regular jobs during the week) The Bad Obsession Motorsport business is but a sideline for them.

If you enjoy Project Binky, you'll like these guys too : https://www.youtube.com/user/retropowercars/videos

The standard of their work is truly excellent, and the end products amazing.

I very much doubt it, purely on the basis of the reaction by many to Mototechnique's/David Lee's alleged "butchery" of his 246 Dino that was fitted a 308/328 based motor ...

God help us when the Mototechnique 458 Italia powered 246 hits the street, then it'll really be pitchforks and torches :D

I think what Mike is doing is indeed very impressive. I regularly view his video presentations. How he is fabricating (and learning to fabricate) and how he is analyzing and designing is awe inspiring. There are so few young people with the passion, skill and self confidence that Mike has. Yeah, I too have my different opinion about what should and should not be done to a Ferrari but my opinion is truly irrelevant.

I was lucky enough to be able to stop by Stanceworks a couple of months ago. Mike gave me a nice tour and was a charming host.

Thanks, JC. I'll have to check out Retropowercars. I haven't encountered that one yet.

Thanks again for the visit, Brian. It was great of you to stop by. I appreciate all of the kind words.

Even more importantly he shows the entire process, including when he makes mistakes. Most people just gloss over everything because they don't want to share how it's done and are in it for the glory. I genuinely believe Mike is doing it to keep the art alive.

I remember watching one, can't remember which, but they took the car to a "pro" to get an assessment of the condition and the "pro" was using his cellphone as a flashlight to do the inspection.

To all the haters in this thread, your loss. I think this build is great. The detail and quality is amazing and that little Honda engine is going to be a beast in that 308. Can’t wait until it is done. I’ve been following it since the beginning and Mike has given us some great build videos.

    Awesome build Mike!

Not sure how you find the time to do it all.

Wonder why no posts from June 8th until today?

Was this thread moved then moved back?

Genuinely appreciated. I'm far from a pro, but I always like to imagine that if someone else can do something, I can (learn to) do it too. I try to instill that in others as well.

    Thanks!

It popped up in my email inbox that a reply had been posted. I think the argument between myself and the guy who wanted the battery cover killed off discussion.

If I were the President of United States of America, who also is the Air Force and Navy Commander in Chief, I will immediately order a massive F18 strike attack to pave out this guy building and his yellow Frankestein mess stored inside, as I couldn't stand this nightmare could stay in my Country one more day.

    :D

I'll say one thing as a 308 owner...

At least his welds are respectable. The Ferrari factory welds are shameful. :)

You hate this project because you are a self avowed purist. I get that and understand where you are coming from. However, to completely discredit the skill and talent behind this build just because it doesn't meet your "standards" is woefully ignorant and short sighted. Anyone who has ever bent metal or welded can clearly see he is very talented at what he does.

What have you ever built? ;)

What I don’t understand is why does he keeps calling it a Ferrari when it’s not a Ferrari anymore?

None of this hot mess makes sense, he's got fabrication skills. Don't like the power output, build the engine out. Heck custom fit any other Ferrari drivetrain in. At least then it's still a Ferrari. This is just a Frankenstein monster. His car, his choice and let's be honest, he's gone the way of shock value. Says way more about him then those he's trying to offend for giggles.

I don't need to have built anything to tell I don't like what anyone did: I think this is obvious.

What I wrote was a joke, of course: that's "humor". I simply don't like what he did. Can't I? I didn't write that this guy can't weld or hasn't enough skills to do his work: I simply wrote I don't like at all what he did.

I'm sure I can write on public forum my blame when I see a Ferrari 308 chassis with an Honda engine inside: It's called "freedom", as he did what he wanted with that Ferrari chassis and I wrote what I think about what he did.

    Ciao
