Great watch. I like to wear this on most days.
it’s too bad that they are hard to get. 4 years ago everything was available, and at a discount!

    Congratulations !!
    A stunning watch.
I always felt Patek is the Ferrari of watches in so far as just like Ferrari, out of the 10 most expensive watches sold at auction Patek makes up the lion's share.

Racing Through Europe due to its excellent subject matter is like opening a time capsule for anyone who cannot remember the cars and fashions of the era.
Almost like a historical document, one of the best books I have owned.

Received an email from Ferrari overnight as follows...

A series of special, limited-edition publications dedicated to the history of the Prancing Horse have been made available to collectors at the Museo Enzo Ferrari store in Modena, and can be ordered by writing to: [email protected]

The proceeds will be donated to the "Dino Ferrari" Association, which, since 1984, has been supporting the research and treatment of neuromuscular, neurodegenerative and cerebrovascular diseases carried out by “Centro Dino Ferrari” - Università degli Studi di Milano – Fondazione IRCCS Ca’ Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico.

I know the book buddy. Been waiting for it to be released for some time. I believe it's been delayed a few times due to Covid.

Let Me Sell You a Ferrari

    A Dealer's Memoir by Guarino, Robert E. Code: 59288 Format: Paperback / 224 pages Publication date: 01/07/2021

This book offers a unique perspective within the luxury automobile industry in which the author, a Ferrari dealer, recounts a lifetime with the iconic car brand. Chapters detail a wide range of experiences, like a nonstop drive in a 308GTB from Chicago to Boston; rides with important figures like Piero Ferrari and Dario Benuzzi; and a visit to the Ferrari, Maserati and Lamborghini factories at Maranello. This book follows one mans all-encompassing journey with Ferraris.

First a fan, then a salesman and finally a dealer, the author offers numerous insights into the life cycle of a Ferrari, from production to sales.

It doesn’t seem to be worth the $40, at least not to me.

Just received this regarding the Porter Press GTO book:

    Dear Customer,

I am writing to provide an update on the Ultimate Ferrari 250 GTO book, for which you have a pre-order with us.

The good news is that the books are printed. The bad news is, when the initial copies arrived with us yesterday and were examined, they were not quite of the high quality which we strive to achieve with all of our books, and which Porter Press has become renowned for.

Philip Porter explains more details in the video below:

As I'm sure you understand, this is completely beyond our control and we would not wish to send these books out to you with even the smallest imperfection.

We are told that the best case scenario is delivery to us at the beginning of the week commencing 21st June, but we will keep you updated and advise as soon as the book is on it's way to you.

Our sincerest apologies for this short delay. We assure you that they will be worth the wait!

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

    Best Regards
    Luke

All beginning to get a bit dubious…well it was already dubious when they relieved me of £450 plus shipping when the product wasn’t finished…I sincerely hope I’ll be eating my words soon…

It's very good, but photo reproduction could have been better.
If you decide to buy, make sure you use the discount option. On the checkout page of the Porter Press webshop there is a box for 'gift card or discount code'. Fill out PRR10, and you will receive a 10% discount. PRR stands for www.porscheroadandrace.com.

Any discount codes for the GTO book? :) :)

I too would be happy to buy a slightly marked set for a reduced price and free shipping.
I won't be selling it so don't care about the resale value by owing a "damaged" book .
