Can't fix run flats that have a nail. Yes Michelin has it is stock locally. Its arriving tomorrow morning at a local Firestone tire shop. I don't want to drive it too far with a nail in it.

That's incorrect. Michelin allows ONE patch to a run flat as long as it is NOT in the sidewall. Clearly stated on the Michelin website.

PS. Dealers will tell you a punctured run flat MUST be replaced (the dealer didn't design the tire). I got a nail in a rear tire with 600 miles. Took it to the dealer to be patched and was told they could NOT patch a run flat and maintain the speed rating. I pulled up the standards (for repair) on Michelin's site and they patched the tire.

I think in California by law its not possible (or some insurance reason -- I forgot). I've had this problem before several times with run flats. Always the same answer.

And then there is my peace of mind.... I'd rather not worry about it every time I drive it.

2022 price increases announced. This is why they stopped taking 2021 MY orders a month ago. 2021 is sold out and there's a price increase for anyone ordering 2022.

"The 2022 Corvette will start at $62,195, including the destination charge. That’s a $1,200 increase over the 2021 model and $2,200 higher than the original 2020 model year price that started at $59,995.

If you were thinking about going Convertible, the price went up on this model, too. It’ll start at $69,695, which amounts to the same $1,200 price increase year-over-year as the coupe."

I think I paid $1,250 for the wheel tire warranty. I figure it will be money well spent.

Yah I was offered that. But I don't drive it much and figured this was like an extended warranty scam. And I worried about how it was handled and how long it might take to get it resolved.

Even if I paid that, I would still be upside down by $700 now.

They (GM) are getting the C8 on to the normal Corvette new model year production schedule (which it has not been on since release of the C8). This is NOT news (was announced months ago), were it not for 6 weeks of shutdowns due to parts shortages for MY2021 (5,880 cars would have been produced in those 6 weeks), this would have been MUCH less of an issue. At some point, they have to get the normal new model year schedule. 2022 production will start late July 2021.
As far as the 2021MY price increase, anyone that had a "sold" order (status 1100) as of March 1, 2021 paid the ORIGINAL MSRP from 2020, i.e "price protected" (my car came in April 6, 2021 and I paid original 2020 MSRP)

    Peace of mind is important.
My only point is that the company that designed and built the tire (Michelin) says one patch repair (tread face only) is allowed and does NOT impact speed rating. The repair MUST be a patch, NOT a plug (tire must be removed from the rim for repair).

I'd just get new tires. They're important and why risk your life over $1200.

If you are getting new tires, consider the Goodyear Super car if you ever dream of going on track.

There's one thing I forgot to mention in all this.

I found out about the tire air leak from a text message my car sent me. I returned home, went upstairs, and had a text message that my left rear tire pressure was 23 lbs and I needed to service it. I thought that was pretty cool. I'm sure a lot of other "Premium" cars have this feature but I've not seen it on Italian cars which I've been driving the past 4 years

Gray looks quite tasteful. Miss the metallic that was in 20 21 Sebring Orange.

Don’t get the caffeine - maybe better in person. Was quite nice on a 911.
