What a sin to have put a Tesla motor in the 308 though!

Poor 308. If you want a Tesla, buy a Tesla. I would rather walk than mess up my 308.

That is a nice option! I love my Tesla, they do a brilliant job with pushing automotive engineering.

The Testarossa looks awesome taking off. What a beautiful car.

This is one of those 308s that had a fire and had to be rebuilt. Not economic to rebuild to original so they went down the electric option. But to most people it's about the sound, the smell, the vibrations, the challenge of clutch control and gear change. So thanks but no thanks. There are plenty of classics with unremarkable engines that really benefit from modern electrification but it ain't the Ferraris, the Lambos, the Porsches, etc.

It will be a treat to reflect on this thread in 10 years. "I can't believe we used to have to pump gas into these things" or "love the sound.. but sparks plugs? Really?.."

I am only moderately curious about current Ferraris, but will not be remotely interested in even seeing a photo of an electric one.

If my TR burns down then I'd rebuild it as electric. But make everything fit in the engine cradle and gas tank locations so no drilling or modifying. But let's hope it doesn't burn.

Electric classics are part of the future.
With cnc machines 3D printing etc they’ll be able to make new has peered or electric classics.

the component car I distrust already overs many new build classics

without epa to worry about ta new era of small automakers may be approaching.

as for 308s alsways loved the look a feel
Most though we’re dogs powerwise even in period compared to others. Yep rolling on a twisty road they’re great but how many do that.

and electric Daytona could be blasphemy.

if you wanted a classic and lived somewhere like a euro city where only eletrics allowed I can see the point.

is an electric worse than a resto mod ?

I’m still waiting for the singer version of a 308.

O have the engine out of a 512tr currently at the shop. One of the younger guys mentioned the TR would be a perfect candidate for an electric conversion. I do agree. The layout of the car is almost perfect for electric motors and battery packaging. Anybody got a cheap TR they want to sell? I would take on the project..

Followed by a toilet plunger stuck to the floor between the seats with a Ferrari shift knob on the end.
