any reason why the French driver was driving the Australian Gold car, when Penske has two Australian drivers?
We were entertaining for 3 days here in our condo overlooking the track. In the distance we could see Roger Penske's "My Podium" yacht. It's a massive 239' long, cruises at 14 knots and has a 4500 nautical mile range. Only cost a cool $120m. Wish I had the time to go see it up close. Just too busy hosting!! A little premature? Andretti saying he wouldn't stand in the way if Ferrari called Colton Herta . . . https://racer.com/2021/04/26/if-ferrari-calls-herta-im-not-standing-in-the-way-andretti/?fbclid=IwAR1Eibf2PjL9ylb90pcv8TvA1p_kY63g5DyORMujIfIpSA3fWvHvwKrvAvQ
I don't think that J.J. had ever driven on a street circuit in any form of racing. (Please correct me if I'm wrong.) So just the fact that he made it to the finish with all four corners on the car and didn't cause a big wreck should be considered laudable. It's ironic that he won't be doing ovals, because with his experience doing them in NASCAR, he might be more competitive.

Pato O'Ward wins the Texas race #2 for his first IndyCar win. Zak Brown promised him an F1 test if he won a race. So he's got that to look forward to.
It will be interesting to see how he does in the F1 car, he seems to have fast hands and reactions needed to be good in an F1 car.
Poor Bourdais gets taken out in both races due to no fault of his own...clearly Pietro falling foul of the accordeon effect a bit like what happened in F1 at Mugello last year. Would like to see Herta and Palou in F1 tests as well...here the start incident.
Arrow/McLaren looks to be much improved this year. I'm hoping they are solid contenders for the whole season.

A nice result on the track and a superb result in the TV ratings. https://racer.com/2021/06/02/indy-500-tv-rating-hits-5-year-high/?fbclid=IwAR3s60haTjNikTOW03R5B0wF6RvQEUvwU0VefTp35sNAl6zXhUl-U0iOrDI
Exactly, went twice love it. I got to drive Doc TomMurphy"s F50 there in 97 with him, it was just the lunchtime open laps but what a track, perfect car for it. I walked everywhere around the circuit, even the Hurrydowns portion in the woods before Canada corner. Then I had a ride in a BBLM, that was special too! Really want to see the Indycars race there.
The anti-DVR network. "Let's make it a scavenger hunt!" "Oh look! Pit stops coming up. Let's change channels." Not just today. They missed several opening laps yesterday because lacrosse went long.
I get the French Open, bu the lacross thing pissed me off. hopefully Penske figures out a better broadcast solution great racing this weekend....if you were able to find it. Pato O'Ward reminds me of Zanardi in 97/98
