My Scud has only alcantara, no leather at all. It suits the race vibe of the car, otherwise I prefer leather. I spec'ed couio leather in the Roma with Daytona seats but with alcantara inserts. I hope the contrast provide more excitement to the interior.
For those with their cars or their factory photos, how long did you wait after getting your VIN before you saw your first body-in-white pic?
It's black. I live about 15 minutes south of Healdsburg. I don't drive it around town at all. Just early morning drives with FOG & FCA on back roads of Marin and Sonoma County. I am putting together an afternoon drive in a few weeks with 3-4 friends, they all have 458's, to Montage Resort for cocktails and appetizers. Great place, I've had dinner there a couple of time. Its very good. Let me know if your interested in joining us. Meet at my place and take back roads up Westside and Dry Creek Rd.
I have gone for the standard seats in Couio, but with alcantara inserts and black stitching/piping......because I agree with you that in plain leather the seats look uninspiring. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Right on. I am actually in Shiloh just say Healdsburg for reference. New montage is great. Depends on the timing as I am traveling a ton this summer but would Be great to pm and be able to sync up.
It’s was about three weeks. Also. All the pictures arrived about 1-2 weeks after they were taken. I got my final picture on the app after 2 weeks after the dealership told me that my car was in testing. It was already on a ship heading over to the US by that time.
No way! Not a popular color it seems. Have u seen the color in person? I have not and the color changes drastically in videos. I’m a little nervous. Oh well. I wanted something subtle.
And I love the video of Flavio Manzoni drawing the car. I know that is silver but Grigio alloy seemed like just a slight variation of that hopefully not too far.
Shiloh's a really nice community. We almost made an offer on a house there but found the one we finally bought before we did. Moved from Woodside in 2016 and really glad we did. Once I get it set up, I'll send you a PM. It would be cool to show your Roma to my buddies, they know I have one coming. I'm semi-retired now but just a few years ago I was on a plane at least twice a month. I didn't mind it because I enjoyed the job, otherwise traveling that much sucks.
Hmmmmm. Looks good but my brain goes straight to thinking it looks too similar to the Portofino IMO and you lose the character of the Roma's front end. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
... Great colors! How do you find the reflection of the light colored cockpit lining on the windscreen?
Thanks. Something's not right with mine. I've had the VIN for my Azzurro California car for more than 3 months and no pics yet. I specced an SF90 much later than the Roma and got all my pics as normal and it is now on its way. But no Roma....
Yes, I have seen it in person. I previously owned a 2012 Cali in Grigio Alloy. Very rare to see, but a standard color. I loved it. Like a very very light baby blue in the sun. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
You will love it. Also, it is kinda nice to have a color that is rare. You never see yourself coming and going. It makes a special car even more special.
Funny your pics at least on my phone don’t show any blue. I’ll go look at them on my other computer maybe that is better.
I didn't realize you could order a black grille from factory ; I had mine wrapped black; An actual factory black grille would be the way to go though
So for the guys that have been driving their cars for a while now... how do you guys feel about the proclivity for the Roma to upshift early? I personally hate that it really wants to go to 8th gear whenever you're coasting, even at speeds as low as 60kph (less than 40mph). Has anyone thought about changing the timing of the gearshifts to minimize upshifts... and if so, how have you accomplished that? Also, in the same vein, has anyone noticed that if you have the mode in "manual", it sometimes automatically switches back to "auto" ? Is there a way to just force it to stay in "manual" all the time? I personally prefer the RPM to be at at least 2600 most times. It sounds better and is more responsive at higher revs. Would be great if there was a way to program this car to simply not go down to 1000rpm, except when stopped. And lastly, is there way to permanently disable the "engine off" function? ---- This would feel like a perfect car to me if the engine stayed on all the time, and revved at a higher default RPM in normal use, rather than burbling along at 1000rpm which is an RPM with no power, crap engine sound, delayed response. Would save having to click the downshift lever so much if it wasn't defaulting to 1000rpm all the time
I have the same in an F8 and love it. Did you spec a deviating stitch? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
