Hi everyone, I've been a little late in posting this but I picked up my first Ferrari - a 2014 458 spider - a couple months ago and this forum played a big role in making it happen. I read a number of posts and asked a bunch of questions and the community was super helpful. I've attached a couple pictures of the car - the previous owner actually added an integrated radar/laser system to the car (Escort 9500) - still trying to figure that thing out - and even more cool is the aftermarket glass engine bay cover (the car also came with the original engine bay cover which is nice to have just in case). I'm sure as I play with the car over the summer I'll have a few more questions (any unsolicited advice for the new Ferrari owner in New England area is very much welcome ). Look forward to catching up with the New England guys through some events this summer (have yet to attend one) - in the meantime thank you for all the help and look forward to getting to know everyone. Congrats, the car looks maaaarvelous, and I wish you good luck with it! Any day now we're heading up to Tom Shea's in Essex for some fried clams.
Love Tom Shea's but for Fried Clams. Clam Box in Ipswich or Farnham's in Essex. Had Clam Box fried clams last night! Tom Shea's does have a beautiful view as well as nicer atmosphere to sit and dine.
I've always heard the Clam Box was the best, but I've never had their clams. My wife and I like the view and ambience at Tom Shea's, and we've never had a bad meal there. And when we leave on the way back to 128 we stop at this little farm stand on the right, the guy there is quite a character. I bet Anthony and John, you both know who I'm talking about.
Beautiful car. I'm in Beverly. Next event is this Monday at Ferrari of New England. They are introducing the Portofino M. Hope to see you driving around.
Boxford for me. Sunday 9:00~10:00AM informal meet behind Starbucks on Enon St Beverly(Actually in Stop&Shop parking lot behind Starbucks, less bump height to navigate). Past Sunday 2 458s, my 360, Maserati. Often a couple of Astons, Porsche etc. I attend when not playing golf at Salem.
It was a nice event with drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and live entertainment. I was more excited by these cars rather than the Portofino M. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's great to know - thanks for the info. I want to take a longer Father's day drive and this seems right up the way I was thinking of heading.
@bobbypagos I like that idea so much I have planned to go to Watkins glen for the IMSA race and spend a few days at the wineries. Only the weather will dictate what car I take.
Anthony, we just came back from the Ferrari Challenge races there. We stayed at the Harbor Hotel. I can recommend the Belhurst Castle and Winery for dinner. Also on your way out a nice lunch stop is Grapevine Farms in Cobleskill. It's about half way there and easy off and on 88. I recommend their famous chicken sandwich.
Thanks Paul, Grapevine Farms I will put on my agenda. I have enjoyed the Belhurst in the past, Its very nice. This year I'm staying at the inn at Glenora in Dundee, I thoroughly enjoy the food and wine pairing. Its one of those rare occasions where the chef prepares an·muse-bouche before dinner. And I must to go to "The Lodge" as a matter of habit.
Chucklehead!!!!! Congrats on a beauty....and I agree on Clambox and JT Farnhams!!!! Ive a boat in Gloucester and hit those places often....Northshore is awesome this time of year.... Im in Albany often for work, and will put Grapevine on the list.......
