I got this in an email from our coffee shop down in Richmond. We're celebrating! On Tuesday, May 25th, we will celebrate Luigi Bezzera’s birthday! Luigi patented the first modern-day espresso machine in 1901. In honor of this invention, we’re having espresso drink specials and giving away some sweet treats and freebies. We would love if you came out to see us! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

We had left-over french fries (I don't recall ever bringing home fries from a dinner out...but they gave us a huge pile and my wife hates to waste). Anywho, we had the fries in the fridge which I stuck under the broiler for a few minutes, I defrosted some pork sausage and sauteed it, chopped some onion, and cracked a few eggs we picked up at the farm down the street...mixed a ton of herbs and spices into the eggs, and... Frittata! I'm actually proud of this "clean-out-the-fridge" effort...it was really yummy! I was in the mood for sausage so picked up a basic one. Cooked them up then deglazed the pan with Marsala then fried up the eggs. Great flavor! A little Tabasco sriracha on the side was good too. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Tried to make my own Egg McMuffin. No idea if the official one has bacon and hash browns and chulula on it, but mine did and they were yummy! Image Unavailable, Please Login
If you've not had one before, don't worry. The prep is probably one of the most overrated things I've experienced. My brother, friends, etc. did their best to scare the heck out of me. I've had bad sushi that was more traumatic! Good luck and I hope everything works out in the end! T
I'm about through with the prep at this point. Some more Gatorade and Miralax during the night. Craving the Jersey Mike's GIANT sub I'll devour for lunch.
An omelet with ground turkey with red bell pepper, jalapeño, onion and thyme, and some shredded mozzarella. Yummy! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Today's omelet added cilantro from the garden, a dollop of sour cream, several dashes of cholula, and some tortillas. Very yummy. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Oh happy day! many of our restaurants have closed or we no longer bother to try to go there because of staffing issues… but today a great new breakfast place opened nearby. I had biscuits and gravy with potatoes and bacon. Wife had eggs benedict. all yummy! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Its my birthday, so post-marriage that is now the only day that my wife... ...makes bagels before I wake Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Speaking of leftovers, we had some leftover sauces from Indian food the other night. The next morning I took some turkey and sautéed it, added some basmati rice and finally the leftover sauces (saag, butter chicken sauce and tikka sauce). Finished it with some fresh cilantro and then used it as a stuffing for an omelet. It was awesome! Image Unavailable, Please Login
And again, turns out I have enough steak and potatoes to make this 3 days in a row day two… Image Unavailable, Please Login
