I would go with a metallic or multi-layer paint. Flat single layer paints hide the lines and natural beauty of the car. Putting same car side by side with a special paints and it is night and day
I fully agree....and you can simply compare...here in this chat one page ago or so...you find two production pics one R Fiorano the other R Coburn both beautiful but very different re the character of paint. Just download the pics to the pc, open them up side by side on the laptop and observe the huge difference in clarity sharpness of reflections etc. Obviously the colours are also different, (Coburn more cherryish, Fiorano a bit "warmer"). The multi-layers (like Coburn) are attractive but also extremely visible...they show off extremely even in other colours than red. Depends what you really want to achieve... Not easy...to decide. I would not save money on colour anymore as I did in previous cases.
Looks like Grigio Silverstone Opaco https://www.theparking.eu/used-cars-detail/ferrari-812-gts/ferrari-812-gts-1-hand-ferrari-dusseldorf/9G6IOPUQ.html Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Good to admit when one is wrong !! I just reinstated my 812 GTS order having suspended it when Covid “bit”. After many cars I was tired of the “game”, lack PPF practicality, GPF is horrid, volumes are up, design laziness (eg 488 folding roof bolted on an 812), quiet and heavy (but admittedly very fast) hybrids doing little for me and I thought I would call it a day. Been playing the second hand game. Quite fun actually. Changed my mind : little compares to a V12 Ferrari, prefer the GTS to 812 to drive (better resolved, less crashy), love that I can get golf clubs in the boot and the clock is ticking down on such cars. Final factor was the probable $1.5m after market value of a slightly BHP enhanced, same interior, Competizione Targa with fiddly non electric roof. I think this will hugely support GTS residuals. So I excitedly await my Grigio Ferro, Shields, Nero Alcantara, Mandarino Antigua (orange), forged race wheels etc 812 GTS. I have since the below CGI added some minor livery in CDFucile and Argento. Fingers crossed for pre Xmas. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It's either that or an over the top summer spec with blue dino or carolina with some splashes of alcantara santorini interior.
Thank you. Nice idea on buttons, Not a fan of coloured stripe on upper dash - reflections but will orange stitch it.
care to share more pics of your lush interior my good Sir!? I am debating of getting a similar (slightly lighter leather) interior.
Hello everyone! I own 812sf in grigio titanio color with bordeux interior. Now I'm placing an order for 812GTS, I definitely decided that it would be a grigio ferro exterior, but I just can't decide what I want to see interior, what do you think of tortora with charcola? or grigio chiaro together with grigio scuro? Can anyone tell me please what this beautiful warm silver colour is? Just put my deposit down today for (I was told) the last slot that the dealer had. See lots of dark blue and some green cars which do look striking but love the way the surface of the car looks with these lighter colours.
I can really recommend Tortora and charcoal together with Grigio ferro. I specced my Superfast exactly that way. Pictures really don’t do these two colors justice, but anyway I attached one here. Image Unavailable, Please Login
