I have always used re-originals but apparently they do not have any. At least not at the moment. Any recommendations for another source ?
Tommy, I am restoring a 328 and have been happy with GAHH. I’ve just finished the carpeting and their product is great. Mike
Luppi would be my recommendation. I have a set of theirs in my Boxer and the quality is extremely good. https://www.tappezzerialuppi.com/
I saw a factory carpet set for a 328 with a tan interior on EbaY. I think it went for about 1500.00 Thank you
There is several thread about carpeting suppliers with nice comment of the "great product" etc.... But can someone post photos of these cars with the new carpets please ?
I worked with Luppi and finalized both the shapes and materials to properly recarpet the 308Qv. He has the original forms/patterns and a great substitute for the NLA original material. Fun guy to work with. Use Google translate to send him emails in Italian.
Crowndog, I think I read an old post of yours that stated the factory carpet in the 308 was synthetic. How certain are you of this and can you share the source? My own experience suggests this is true, just want to confirm. Thanks!
From Mr. Luppi. And I’ve got two almost complete used tan sets downstairs so I tested a tiny piece. Definitely synthetic. Stunk just like plastic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Are you aware of the four carpet covered pieces of aluminum that is rarely included with sets? Got some of those too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
From years ago but I still have same question : Does any one couls send pictures of hiw "new" carpets supplied by .. Thanks in advance
When I did mine some years ago, I drove the car down to a carpet supplier ware house, match the carpet on the door to a sample that they have for texture and color, and order enough raw material to replace pieces on my car. I sewed my own replacement set.
Thanks but I am not ablo to so the job by myself ! I have a carpet sample from Lakewell but the color does not really match with original "Castoro 172" to my opinion and I would like to have same carpet "border". I am not sure of the word in US language, so I send you picture .. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That is called binding. If you just want to have the old carpet binding redone, any upholster shop can do that.
Are you talking about the preformed carpet or, say, inserts? As For inserts i have them from a German supplier
NO, I am talking about all carpeting of the interior. I just redone my seats and now I would like have "like new" carpets
I receive sample from Lakewell in Belgium ( I contacted other supplier but I don't received any answer at this time .. ) I choose three different color and to my point of view the "dark tan" look very nice with my new interior color. Image Unavailable, Please Login
