Tesla Powered 308 vs TR

There is a show on Apple+ called "Long Way Up" where some motorcycle guys take ELECTRIC motorcycles from the tip of Argentina to Los Angeles. No one accounted for the cold / battery performance decrease in Argentina. Or the charging times. It's about what you would expect for the first few episodes. People forget about the cold way to often.

But realy man, put down the phone, dump out this passed in Wheaties, and either give this guy an offer on the car he can't refuse to "save" the fire car or shut up about someone doing something you either can't, won't, or just don't even want to with something you dont even own. Its not like 308s are rare. If he converted a 250swb or some **** id probabaly be with yoy (in being annoyed, not calling it a fake Ferrari), but a 308? The car was litteraly going to be cut apart and you are mad he kept it on the road? Seriously?

End of the story is they kept a car from being cut up that you didn't. They have the superiority here, as the ones that saved a ferrari, not you

the tesla is a cool car, in whatever form you find it. if it's a 308 converted to a tesla powertrain, thats fine, engineers like to build stuff, that's all.

 

Well thank goodness it's a green car now, and not some green house gas emitting, gigantic carbon footprint occupying, ozone destroying, anti-Algore, Polar Ice Cap melting, non-renewable resource guzzling, right wing conveyance. And I hope the owner wears Birkenstock's and voted for Hilary. Just sayin.....

 

Watched the French Grand Prix this morning.

Ferrari didn't do well, but... even so, one might note that all the cars on the grid have an electric motor. And I enjoyed the hell out of the race. (Nice move by Verstappen on the final lap.)

I get why some hate DC motors, and why some find ICE to be approaching EOL. But I'm not understanding the raw hatred towards each other over the matter.

 

This guy is doing it right. Not the platform I would have chosen for an EV for a number of reasons, but still cool.

 

I'm looking for a Tesla engine for my 308. Any leads??????

Yeah it should fit pretty good. Tires will stick passed the wheel wells about 3 inches on each side. Was going to do this to my Quattrovalvole this weekend but it was raining. Home Depot is running a killer deal on 10 rolls of electrical tape so was going to opt for that route and just cut all the electrical connections off.

Tesla conversions are cool AF.

 

I will continue to drive my " one of the best driving machines the world has ever seen " and I will keep dreaming about someday owning a 488 GTB or a Gallardo with 10 Cylinders, and removing the cats so I can really pollute the air while I scream down the freeway and out drive my way around the electric garbage that I may come up behind, not to worry , just the sound will scare the crap out of them , I can be sure of that .
