Fully agree. Rear boxes and x pipe tweak the sound and add a little volume. But with sports cats you're going from 800 cell to 100/200 cell obstruction in the exhaust path....makes a HUGE difference in volume!

That is exactly what I was hoping to hear. My gut tells me the PTU would be void if you installed sport cats but I guess that is up to each dealership? Would love to get a pair of kline 200 cell cats installed but not at the cost of the PTU.

Depends on the dealer but I'd work on finding a good indy no matter what

I'm running catless, full kline, I'll take audio asap, I'm working on getting a tune through DME pretty soon too so I don't end up with fouled plugs from running rich all the time

Anything you change except maybe pining the valves open they will find a way to void it.

I guess the next thing I have to decide is if I re-up the warranty for next year (Last year available) or if I use the $6k for the sport cats. First year has been absolutely problem free but something tells me the day I decide not to renew the warranty is the day my PTU or transmission needs to be rebuilt.

PTU repair kit is 6-8k nowadays sort of defeating the oem warranty (not fully). I would skip it.

Is that true? I always thought PTU repairs were like $30k? I have a good local tech that I trust so if that really is the case then there is definitely no need for the power warranty and here come the sport cats

Don’t think anything tops full novi with either no cats or sport cats. I have sport cats and is up there with an f50
