One might wish to go bac to who created the Daytona wagon. It was Gene Garfinkle who had been GM design. So, his modification to the Daytona had a GM sense to it anyway.

As for the sideview rendering, I suspect that being based of a 599 the body side cross section would make the 3D loo far different from the Corvette.

The original Daytona shooting brake looked like a Ferrari hearse. I'm not sure why you'd want to pay homage to that. Those sketches look like a Corvette C7 hearse. o_O

If the idea floats someone's boat, then more power to them. However, those sketches sunk my battleship. :p

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Correction: this is not a "shooting break" but a "previously shot break" (ref: British Crime Dramas Are Us).

Can't understand why it's so hard for Toyota to grasp what potential f150 and Silverado buyers desire. The recipe has existed for years, yet for some reason they arrogantly believe they have a better a formula. Anyway, that looks like it was designed using a dull blade and discarded styrofoam beer cooler.

    No such luck.
In the battle for out of control front end designs, they may be the all time winner.
But we’ll have to wait and see.

The front ends of pickups have been ridiculous for years now but this is just absurd.

Guess I'll go ahead with the F150. I was waiting to see what the new Tundra would look like before I bought one.

    Pass.

I posted this in the Purosangue thread, but I figured it had a place here as well.
Same disclaimer. Just a rendering, albeit a nice one at that. Not based on any real data as far as I can tell. Too much sedan, not enough SUV.
But I admire the rendering . No more, no less.
For curious minds, I gave it a B+ for effort and a C+ for execution.

    not bad overall...
it has a few issues though. upper air inlet a bit too race track/tin snips for my taste, and the greenhouse is Polestar with short front door side glass.

The razor sharp front fascia/leading edge certainly got my attention.

I think if Ferrari wants to distinguish themselves from the sea of SUVs already out there they need to do something race and very sporty. Off-road racing sporty, in fact.

Maybe not with so big tires and fender gap. 4-doors and more greenhouse glass needed but something like this:

On this one I disagree. It looks like an Audi. Ferrari already did an SUV and the management got cold feet and told them to start over again and come back with something better.
The distinguishing feature is the 'prancing horse' and not some wild design which I think is where they went on the first try.
Make it easy to build and profitable is the new mantra...
