Meh.... How many models does McLaren now have? 43? I still think the 720s is ugly. It might go like stink but it does not make me happy to look at.
Overall, I like it. The styling definitely borrows cues from the 250 LM, which is kind of nice. The side view also sort of conjures up images of a wild boar's jaw line, which gives the car an overall feeling of ruggedness to it. I'm happy to see that they have dispensed with the crazy two level back window nonsense of the SF90. This definitely strikes me as a car that you're gonna have to see in the flesh to really fully appreciate. Me personally, I wouldn't be very prone to buying any sort of car with a hybrid engine design (Ferrari or otherwise), so nice looking or not, I'll be sitting this one out from the sidelines. However, from a body design and styling standpoint, I think they have hit the mark pretty well and it definitely shows a lot of promise. Ray
They know exactly what this will cost. What they do is get everyone excited and then give them the vinegar later.
Because they can............. But having said that, oftentimes autos aren't officially priced right up until the last minute. I'm sure they have a very good target set, but with intro to dealers 6 + mo out, many variables including suppliers pricing, exchange rates, material costs, labor, etc. Pricing cars is a real art & a science. Ferrari has a much easier job at their transaction rates, but it's a changing, volatile landscape.
Now we need Ferrari to win the F1 championship in 2022 so they can name the performance version of the spider 17M. Its been way to long.
Jesus some of the hot takes in here... the SF90 is the ultimate affordable hypercar with no parallels. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. And this car is the same. Makes the Mclaren Artura look like an absolute donkey in comparison. Good stuff Ferrari. Keep it up!
Eu prices are our; but not uk, not sure about this. Rear haunches whilst a nod to the past have no tie in with the rest of the car. And the interior looks so so in the pictures. Will need to see it for real; but wish they had gotten rid of that horrid gear switch from the Roma.
I will look forward to seeing it at the Goodwood Festival of Speed next month. Pretty sure it will be there.
From the pics, it looks like an SF90 and a 430 spitroasted a Lotus; it looks 'meh'. I'll suspend final judgement until I see it IRL, but I'm certainly not instantly compelled to buy one like I was with the F8. I dont like the integration of the side intakes- they're too 430-like (in that they almost look like an afterthought as opposed to a cohesive gestalt, unlike the graceful side intakes on the 360). I think it will look best in the blacks and grays (without all that yellow **** up front and into the hood- that is just Gawdawful). Mike
It grew on me a long time ago. A beautiful spaceship from another planet. At the time, a clean sheet (shocking) design. Now, yeah other models are all derivative. Like Ferrari 458/488/F8 ..... ok. back to the 296 (NOT a shocking design) .
