Do you love the new 296GTB? Let's see your vote here
To be honest, after the 488, I think the 296 is a far more interesting proposition than the Pista and F8. I does not mean I will buy one, because these previous (relative) disappointments have made me move over, so that I cannot anymore afford another Ferrari (even more so a new one).
I love the design as a new Ferrari, but it isn't as good looking as the cars designed by PF. It's just a sign of the times...
The humps on the rear wheels and soft front end are killing it for me. Have to see it in person. Performance is good- just need to know is it actually "fun to drive". I am not lining up to buy one. Thought I would have more interest but I dont. Seems too "luxurious" to me- I prefer something a bit more hardcore. Could be the best ferrari ever. Will have to wait and see.
looks nice but wish it did not have the hybrid could be very cool as a light weight ferrari .. but sadly not .. the looks are ok but not great
need a choice between 'meh' and 'stunning' for me, it's definitely not stunning, but, better than 'meh'. (SF90 was 'meh') .
you could try hitting the 'Report' button on your 1st post and telling/writing Mod what you want. They are usually helpful. .
Agreed. I think the F8 looks better honestly. But if the price point (starting) is 277k- this will be a home run for Ferrari no doubt. Need to see the performance stats to see how it compares tot he competition but 830 hp is insane.
Not for me.... Look like an sf90 baby w some strange lines ... It's clear that ferrari is doing what McLaren has been doing!!! I do not think producing more models will make the brand better... But it's a commercial decision taken by the big guys at ferrari.... Sent from my VOG-L29 using Tapatalk
As I speculatively posted in another 296 thread, I think Ferrari is getting to recognize their fan base very well again, which is exactly why they are such a wildly successful brand. There are Classic Ferrarista, Modern Ferrarista, and FUM Ferrarista. While this has the guise of appealing to the Classic Ferrarista with ties to the Dino and 250, the reality is the market her is truly the Modern Ferrarista or future Modern Ferrarista out there. I personally love the design, but I am not a big fan of the interior touch buttons.
For me, it looks too much like a mid engine version of the Roma. As a nice modern car it’s OK but as a Ferrari mid engine exotic supercar representative, it does not do it for me. I am happily waiting for my F8 and currently enjoying my 488GTB (both of which I prefer the styling of over the 296). I think they did a great job on the F8 styling and though the 296 might fit as a modern Ferrari along side the Roma and SF90, I am not excited to own one. Opinions however are just that, opinions. I am sure many will love this car and be excited to purchase one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Beautiful car very well executed. If I didn’t have an SF90 I’d order one in a heartbeat. Timeless and beautiful. Every time a new Ferrari is launched people moan about the styling - that’s why Ferrari’s age so we’ll because they’re so modern. Sometimes it takes time to get used to the lines. But I’d rather have that than Porsche or McLaren where every car is an iteration of the prior model. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
How on earth can you love a car you haven't even sat in, much less driven? Sent from my SM-G930F using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Now for the question whether or not I like it? Why would one even care when there's the SF90. With all the stuff they offer, such as Asssetto Fiorano etc. it strikes me as nothing more than a discount SF90. And speaking of Assetto Fiorano. It was bad enough that they tried to make 30 kg seem like a big deal on the SF90, but 12 kg? That's takung the piss. Don't like the looks, don't like the V6 and I'm sure it sounds like crap. I like it. I think I’m going to order one. I never thought I would be buying a v6 hybrid Ferrari but I’m going to give it a shot. I think it looks better than the sf90. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
its a winner. best in class. mclaren has no chance with artura against this. better looking than stradale in my eyes too. problem is i would still take a 458 over it. seems like that will be peak ferrari with enough modern touches to go with the na motor. turbo/hybrids dont do it for me
+1 I’ve seen this comparison (296 vs Artura) a few times and I don’t get the rationale....Am i missing something?
