Common problem with the California model. One of ours is loose. We were at the dealership and two Cali's in for service had the same issue...one had lost three! My advice is to learn to live with it.

My 2013 lost three all at once on the right side and I was considering the eBay repair guy, but after a while it stopped bothering me and I never notice any more.

My California had this issue when in bought it from a Ferrari dealer in Chicago (i never noticed it prior to purchase but 1 jewel was rolling around).
The dealer was great and spoke to my local dealer in Greensboro, NC on how to fix without taking the headlight assembly apart. Speak to Stanley in Greensboro Foreign Cars Italia, he will know what to do or help with instructions.

sorry i should clarify, they remove the loose jewel. There is no way to fix it as the headlight unit is sealed. Its better than it rolling around i guess..

Not sure I understand, don’t they have to open the headlight to remove the loose piece?

correct they have some way of removing it by taking the headlight out from the bumper area but not actually opening it up.

How to take out the headlight to then shake out or remove the small loose jewels? (I have 5 loose in the left headlight) Do I need to take front bumper off or not?

Please re-read the above thread carefully. Virtually every reply says it can’t be repaired at all, meaning you would have to replace the entire sealed headlight unit to fix the problem. One reply mentions a technician on the east coast (USA) but I haven’t heard from anyone who has done it that way.

That’s one good way of seeing things :). More seriously, replacing the entire sealed headlight just for that!

I have seen on You tube, how some put the headlight in an owen at 140 degrees (F) for 7-8 minutes and then the glued cover can be taken off and then you can repair the jewels easily. Then you attach a new strip of Butyl-tape and glue it in the owen again.
