i got to that part - then it asked me to sign up.
not a 360 but this likely to impact the 360 gated market if it breaks 300K. given what the last 430 with accident did, 300k is in the cards. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2005-ferrari-f430-42/
A nice car but I would be surprised if it gets close to $300k. Not many options, miles aren’t crazy low, etc. I think part of the reason that previous F430 did well despite the accident is because it was a 2009 which is very rare. I am an idiot for not buying a 2008 with 8k miles for $154k in 2017. Been kicking myself ever since.
The '09 looked nice but was likely hurt by the body repair and the red interior. But with a clean carfax, some may overlook the history. The '05 is a very early example. My 143718 was delivered mid 8/17/05. Other than challenge wheels, the '05 has zero options. Since there isn't any window sticker, You have to wonder if the wheels were added later. The interior of the 05 looks pretty worn for 14K. I have 31K on mine and it is in better shape. I don't think we have seen a car that could set the high water mark price wise yet. Dave
Aloha fellas, I checked out of many things during the last couple years but wow! Looks like our Modenas are getting some good ju-ju. I see a couple (well enjoyed) ones on the market now for good money! 130-150 asking for easy to spot "flaws" is perhaps telling! I have to admit that when I when I went to pick mine up from the dealer this week from some service I was really taken aback by the beauty of my car. They had it parked next to a fancy newer one with some graphics on it and I had to double check my dash plaque to make sure the car was mine! i wish I had taken a picture I need to ask the tech what car that was. Awesome stuff.
The soft lines and areo headlights will age well…. 360 stands out against the straight edge boy racer design before and after…. Dino esque’ w a gated manual… is being appreciated. btw- I love the straight line racer cars as well but there are so many iterations of that same theme… they get lost in the series.
I just bought a 360 gated Spider. I also have a 993 widebody. I think the 360 has aged very well. When it first came out I preferred the look of the F355. I'm not sure I'm still in that camp, especially for the Spider. To my eye, the lines on the F355 Spider don't hold together nearly as well as the 360 Spider. I didn't buy the car for an investment. I plan to drive it. But, if a little appreciation over time covers the on-going cost of maintenance that will be brilliant. The value of the 993 has more than tripled during my ownership - and it doesn't have nearly the operating costs I expect from the F car. /
I’ve had my gated 360 coupe for 3 yrs this summer…., I paid 87k 3 yrs ago w 19k miles. most work done at my shop…. Major - 3k Annual - $350 Water pump - $500 Blinker relay - $250 Susp ecu - $200. Susp accel sensor - $200 Brakes - $500 Headliner - $250 Desticky - $150 Door cable - $150 Battery 2x - $300 Tires - $1000 Am exhaust - $2500 Paint correction / clear bra about 15-20k in three years. I’m About $105-110k into mine after 3 yrs and I’m at 26.5k miles. car is sorted and reliable like a Camry… passes obd2 emissions w no special tune…. to think this gated coupe is 115+ is promising…. I was never in this situation w prior new amg products!!!
Another contributing factor toward the appreciation of gated 360’s—- At 400 hp by today’s standards these are momentum cars…,,, Momentum cars are more engaging as a stick shift…. No body wants an auto e36 or Miata….
For what it's worth, I have had a number of Ferrari's over the past 20+ years. Two years ago I sold my 488 Spider after waiting forever for a replacement air bag which never came. As I reflected on my favorite Ferrari I quickly settled on the gated 360 Spider I had many years ago. This past October, I found a red/tan 360 Spider... gated... challenge grill... modular wheels... black inserts in Daytona seats... with 12,600 miles. I paid $130K and had it shipped to my dealership for full service as it had been driven only 600 miles in the past 5 years. That cost me $16,000. I'm not sure if I'm in over the market... but, I have no regrets. I'm driving it and I've found I enjoy it more than the more recent models I've had.
can we PLEASE stop talking about the gated market for about 3 months until i buy my first F car, a gated 360 coupe. Then you all can resume these discussions. LOL...Pretty please????? The more you all talk about it the less likely i will be able to afford one. LOL...C'mon guys....just a few months....ARA
OMG with these prices.. is it possible that you can't sell your car because you got it at such a great price?
So here's an interesting question in case it hasn't been asked before. If the values of the gated 360 match that of the CS, which would you rather have?
I think the gated cars have inc in value at a greater % this yr vs the cs. wil be interesting to see the rising market…. Never been in the position of having an appreciating auto..
I'd rather have a gated 360 spider which is what I bought. If I wanted a CS I would have bought a CS. /
Not to be inflammatory but.. I'll keep my manual 360 and add a 458 over a CS. The 360 and 430 just don't have the fundamental changes in the suspension geometry that they introduced with the 458. I don't understand this fascination with the F1 transmission in any form... it's still a CS even if you put in a manual transmission..
Nice to have choices! all good ones… for me the ultimate 360 will be a street legal gated challenge car. No posh elements…. Just engaging go go go
