FerrariChat site page loading with ads = whack a mole game

There is a new advertisement even if you are Rosso subscribed that is annoying as all get out. This only red card car sales aggregator

 

I haven't seen this ad, can someone send a screenshot? I know some people have made comments about the app, but is this on the website? What device and browser are you using if so?

 

I think that it might be even bigger than the oversized block of incessant Motor1 story links (which it seems to have replaced, and then some)

I use my phone but I use the OG fchat format and I think I'm on the desktop version. I'll try to grab a screen shot

Yep. I complained about it in the other thread. Huge ad stuck right below the subscribed forums.

 

Didn't you mention in the app thread. is this also an app issue or just web browser?

 

Ah. I see the issue is that formerly the news widget adjusted with mobile screen size and only listed 2 articles instead of four, this widget instead stays same size just vertical. I will talk with developers

 

I'm not re-upping the subscription. Don't see the value. if the ads are too bad, subscribers will vote.

I like this place and to be honest it's the only thing I pay for on the internet. Its worth it for me.

I mean they seem to handle things pretty quickly. There was a post about the ads they responded explained the issue and are already working on a solution.

I can't get too upset. Especially when I am one of the few using a mobile phone on desktop settings....with the OG fchat setting. Lol. Ive got to be an extremely small percentage of people and yet... They are trying to fix it.

Seems pretty commendable to me!

But vote with your dollars. I don't know how you couldn't see the value in a silver subscription. But that's me.

 

I still see the big ad for just red. Maybe this needs a separate thread since this one is about twitchy page loads.

 

I have an ad blocker (iPad) and noticed in the last 24 hours there are more ad fields on the forum menu page, and the fields are about twice the size that they used to be. The just red ad is huge…

I turned the add blocker off and in some cases about 40% of the screen in landscape mode is ads. I got the ad blocker because there were so many ads pages were slow to load and reading was hard. Needless to say I turned the ad blocker back on and all is good. I wouldn’t mind some ads but when they are so invasive it just spoils the experience.

 

its jacked up - when I try to respond the whole page moves up and down in a flash... i use chrome... whatever changed - has not been for the good. I'm sure nobody cares.

 

A while ago I was banned forever and then it was rescinded to no P&R. during that time I decided yes, I was wrong but also that P&R was toxic to me. so stopped coming to Fchat as much. Now that subscription is up - I'll just be "normal".

I was wondering where you went in p and r. That explains it.

I do remember you causing quite a bit of dust up in p and r and if you aren't allowed or you shouldn't be there by your own choice....then ya....it's probably good to not have one. But even a silver membership is pretty cheap if you just want to support the site so it doesn't have to run so many stupid ads.

But again vote with your dollars and your situation is obviously a little different

 

well, couple of things:

1. P&R was my opinion - and I was censured for that.
2. It's FChat's site - so they get to do what they want - with whom they want. We are all here at their discretion.
3. I still love Ferrari and want to share the experience. how and where ?

 

Changes have been made, now there should be less "jumps". And we continue working on it.
