Please share your driving experience of any of the above-listed spyders to each other OR to the coupe versions.

Whether you've driven one or not, please attach any 275/330/365 GTS pics you may wish to share
(Bonus points if they are non Rosso Corsa).

    Thanks!

I am particularly interested in a 330 GTS vs. 330 GTC driving comparison but I'l love to hear about how any of them compare to their coupe or spyder counterparts.

Perhaps the nicest photo I took from a 275 GTS. Taken in 2007 on the German Autobahn

Add the Extra points--Not Red !!

A lot of extra room (If you are tall) on the coupe. Same comment on the 250. The PF Cab has no room behind the driver.

My late father owned a 275GTS, 330GTC, 365GTC and 3 330GTS' over the years and I got to drive the 330GTC one of the GTS's and the 365 (albeit the last one only briefly).

Dad hated the 275 mainly because he couldn't get comfortable in it and sold it on very quickly. Whether it was an issue specifc to that car or Ferrari liberated a little more leg room with the 330 I'm not sure but he found those much more comfortable.

Dynamically I don't think there is much to choose between an open GTS and a closed GTC especially in the type of driving they are likely to be used these days. They are both a lot more nimble on UK back roads than the Daytona.

One issue with the GTS is that there is a lot of wind turbulence in the cockpit with the roof down. The windscreen is very upright and the side windows don't come back that far so it will ruffle the hair and more importantly in Dad's case my step mother's hair. Dad found a partial fix by fitting a modified Mercedes SL wind deflector, but even with that there is still a lot more turbulence in the cockpit than in a Daytona Spyder with it's bigger more steeply raked windscreen. Below is a pic with the screen in place (sorry can't remember the chassis numbers on any of the GTS' although I know there are a few people on F chat who knew my father who can probably tell you).Screen was easily removable and the car didn't have to be modified.

Matthew thank you for an absolutely top-notch comparison and personal (family) history. You filled in so many of the gaps for anyone wondering the things I have in starting this thread. I so appreciate it. I've always enjoyed reading about your dad's experience with Fcars and he certainly covered a lot of ground with respect to the subject here. And again @375+, a GTS on mags- albeit a 330 in lovely Nero.

Again Matthew, what a terrific lot of personal experience and knowledge shared. Cheers,Sir. Lock the thread Mods and let's all go down the pub to celebrate. :D

    Thanks Dave

On the Borrani / Campnolos question the 275 and one of the 330GTS' were on Borranis and the other two GTS' on Campnolos.

I believe there were 5 or 6 275 GTS such as 07997 that were converted by Chinetti to 6 carbs and mag wheels. 07997 was converted back to original factory 3 carbs to gain Classiche Certification. Despite this, lately the car has been pictured with incorrect diameter and width outside lace Borranis. See here.
