Fans weren't working. Connected the two wires together and turned on the ignition. They started working. From what I gave learned from here is that the switch is bad. Two questions. Does anyone know of an aftermarket switch? And also, can I leave them constantly on until I replace the switch? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Doug.

HI... had the same problem. What I did was solder a wire to each wire and run those 2 wires into your cabin connected to a toggle switch. Now you have a bypass and can turn on and off the fans, even after you have replaced the coolant temp sensor. The fans auto kick in at 195 degrees, and if heavy traffic is expected sometimes turning them on ahead of time with the new bypass switch comes in handy. good luck!

there's also a aftermarket coolant temp switch that kicks on the fans earlier than 195, but I just got the OEM original as a replacement. Someone here has that part number for that switch (might do that one day). Hope this helps!

You can mount the toggle switch anywhere you like, be creative. You can start by removing the plastic cover surrounding the brake fluid reservoir in the frunk and find an opening near the footwell.

This switch is identical to stock. The black plastic pieces thar protect the connection tabs are not on the uk sourced item. In both cases, these connections are not as waterproof as they should be, there really should be a rubber boot over the connectors. Make sure you smear some dielectric grease on this so you get some water resistance.
