You mean Russell at Ferrari, yes? I’d take him.

According to some people last year, Carlos world be regretting his move and so would be looking for a move anyway, ha-ha.

??? Norris was 4/1000 of a sec behind Max for Pole. Danny Ric is in 13th, I believe?

I'm hugely impressed by Norris' form. Every year he just gets better and better.

Danny Ric...I've no idea what's happening with him this year. He's clearly far from happy in that car. I hope he gets on top of it.

So, "arguably the greatest driver of all time" needs to block any driver who might present a challenge from joining the team? Got it. No wonder he deserves more respect. :D:D:D:D

If it's true about Hamilton, it has been done before by other team leaders.

The first who comes to mind is Senna who blocked Derek Warwick from joining him at Lotus.

Prost had a similar clause in his contract with Williams, etc ...

I can't see nothing wrong with it. It prevents division in the team.

Hammy's schtick is starting to wear thin. How soon until Lando and George eclipse the popularity of Lewis in the UK? We'll find out in a fortnight.

Lewis has never been popular with a certain segment of the British public, and never will be - he's not the right kind of Englishman/doesn't look the part.
That's why they've been bigging-up George for years now.

It’s life, the circle of life never ends: before him button, hill, mansell etc.

Of course because in this world, like on this chat people won’t like him either:
-because he doesn’t just shut up and drive
-some will find his ideology to be not suited with his current activity
    -a hypocrite for some
    -too lucky for some
-he has beaten their idols record (Schumacher)
    -fashion sense
-some won’t like his racing style
-and some are just plain disguised, dare I say are just the R word.

Can’t please everyone. Personally I won’t miss him when he is gone but he is an f1 legend.
I do think Schumacher was a strep ahead of him and senna was even faster but I can’t argue he bested all of his records . One day his will be beaten too.
    It’s unavoidable.

As you always do on these forums, a well thought out post. Cheers and I cannot agree with you more! Too bad you canceled the F8.

Lol I got my share of outburst too lol
I really liked the F8, stunning, I just wanted for once the latest and greatest. I don’t keep new cars too long. I rotate around my true loves which are 355 and testarossa. We shall see if 296gtb is nice. Still 18 months too go!
Who knows maybe the wait will be killing me and I’ll get a f8!

Apparently he’s re-signed with MBz through 2023. I can’t post his statement because it contains P&R.

Yap, Norris made ahuge step up this year, it wa sclear that he was faster than Carlos, but he wasn't that consistent on sundays, now he is the full package, even fighting is a lot better, and he seems a lot more likeable than George, although both are very fast. Fortunately we have Charles...just imagine Lando vs Max, vs Charles in similar competitive cars, that would be a blast!!

I guess Danny problem are the brakes, quite diferent from what he was used to, it made his strongest point into his weakness, i would still take him over Carlos all day long...although sainza is doing what he was hired for, bring points to the team.

Let's be realistic. Bringing points for Ferrari is about all we can expect from Chuck and Carl. The chances of winning or even scoring the occasional podium are nil.

Not really, as Charles proved in Monaco, he would have probably won the race, and i expect they will be very competitive again in Budapest.

Are you sure that picture hasn’t been photoshopped?

Why would anybody intentionally make himself look ridiculous? Especially somebody so accomplished and (presumably) mature? Maybe he’s on his way to a costume party.
