Gotta love those warnings. My wife drives an Escalade. Was running some errands in it when I got a the warning. Didn’t think anything of it, but had it on the psi readings for each tire on the electronic dash. As I got on one of those single lane tolls roads (with no exits) I see the pressure drop…and drop.. and drop. I was sweating bullets because there was nowhere to pull over, luckily I took the first exit instead of going the whole way to my original destination… made it into the Discount Tire just as the tire neared the rim. Had a huge razor I picked up from a construction area in it, and the air was audibly leaking out. Big fan of that tech now. The 458’s will even tell you if the tire is warm and ready for hard driving. Now that I’m older and have a little more pocket change to pay for safety, I’m appreciative of these things. Ten years ago, I thought it was just another expensive wear and tear item to worry about.

I sold my c7 yesterday and will be ordering a c8 next week. I hated to let it go, but 45k for a seven year old car with 40k+ miles was too good to pass up, and that was at a dealer - no BS with haggling or tire kickers.
Popped the top off the C8, picked up my car partner, and drove to a warehouse area for som 0-60 runs. It was empty, so no one injured in this experiment. First time using launch control. Dry concrete, and 80 degrees in Dallas. Started with a 3.9 then clipoff 2 -3.6 second runs. Tires spinning some, and hit rev limiter on one of the runs. Holy Mother of God this thing is a beast. The g forces when it gets traction is beyond what I have ever felt in a car. And that’s from a past Ford GT and Hellcat owner. Sound is intoxicating, and so easy to drive. What a rush for these two car buddies since 1967. Image Unavailable, Please Login
possibly a new wheel style is an option along w carbon fiber boomerangs. but is it real carbon fiber?
Two Dead After C8 Corvette Carrying Three People Crashes Into Pool At 150 MPH How in the world did they get 3 people in a C8? The intersection in question has a speed limit of 15 mph. They believe the Corvette tried to take the turn at more than 150 mph. Complete stupidity.
Idiots in a C8 3 in a convertible made for two. Speeding at 2AM. No one wearing seat belts.... This is the end result
I read this at the other site: have any ecu tunes been applied to date? Or is this article pretty accurate? https://www.motorious.com/articles/news/gm-hack-c8-corvette/
^^^ It is very accurate. To my knowledge, no one has cracked the C8 ECU, and I'm sure many have tried!
I took my C8 down to Summit Point Raceway for a terrific event put on by a member here whose become a friend. The car behaved beautifully. Very balanced. I could feel the mass in certain corners but overall I was quite pleased. I was able to get almost 70 laps in with a coach and there were only about 5 cars on track during each 30 minute session. The coach was impressed as well. Fun fact, the car recorded 29 mpg on the 220 mile drive from my house to the race track. On track I averaged 5.2 mpg lol. The car also was a hit with guys at the event and the only C8 there.
