"Tiering" or "Rating" Ferrari models from 10 to 1.

    My son wanted to know where the 5 Ferrari supercars stand on a rating of 10 to 1. 10 being the overall top of the top Ferraris and a rating of 1 being the lowest.
    I know its a very broad scale, But we are trying to make it FUN. What models would be rated 10s, 9s, 8s, 7s and so on.

    I'm figuring the 5 supercars are probably around a 7 or 8 (or is one model ranked higher than another)?
    I think a 250 GTO is definitely a 10. So is the 250 TR.
    What is a 330P3? is that a 10 or a 9?
    On that same note, is a 512M & 512S a 9?

    All models included.

    We can go on and on.....
    Remember, we are just having FUN with it. It's almost a good way to educate a 14 year old.

    yes, this can go on and on.

    some would place the supercar Ferraris above any vintage ones for pure performance and maybe even looks.

    I think more fair to rate on 10 scale for different qualities like performance, rarity, looks, and maybe even impact.

    Not counting racing models I would put some of the rare vintage models as 10's and then the supercars as 8-9's on par with some of the more common vintage cars. My rankings would be on par really with how the market values them. There are 8 digit vintage Ferraris, 7 digit supercar late models & vintage, then falls in everyone else 6 digits. My only view contrary to the market would be many of the 15-30 year old Ferraris at the bottom of their depreciation and well below current new models, but eventually shouldn't be when they don't have new car smell either.

    I I totally see the angle in which your coming from. I don't think there is a right or wrong answer. Just different ways to calculate the scale.

    I see the top 250 series 10's and 9s? I Would say the Ca Spider would be a 10. TDF 9? LM 10, SWB 10, Lusso 8.

    But then the 599 GTO, F12 TDF & 812 Comp Should be Below the Supercars. I would place them as 7. (would they be grouped together).

    the best way to measure rarity and desirability may be by their value in the market. quick and easy would be to reference the ferrari market letter valuation page. not the most accurate re prices but will give idea of each models ranking.
