    I believe 6 years ago. And checked during the service two months ago. And tension checked again two weeks ago because of the noise.

    I will probably have that done, starting with the ac belt.

    I have the EXACT same noise in my '85. I sprayed a little WD40 on the AC belt and POOF, noise went away. I almost never use my AC so I'll get around to changing the belt later. Good luck!
