I’ve been feeding my 456 a steady diet of 92 clear but it’s very tempting to get 10%eth because that’s what’s on the menu at 99% of thhe stations here.

I don’t like the search function because it doesn’t search only this subforum on my computer at least. But, thanks for taking time to derail the thread.

If you use the search function when on the 456/560/575 forum main page, it will show hits from this forum first. Also, if you go to the advanced search page, you can choose which forum to search on. i.e. hit the More button.

If there are no hits on this forum, then either the wrong search words have been used, too specific words have been used or there just aren’t any posts.

    Sometimes using Google works.

    Hi,

ours has been happy with both 95E10 and 98E5 which is what we have. Even Shell’s V-power has 5% ethanol over here. No real differences noticed except 98E5 gives about 3-5% better mileage. YMMV.

    Cheers!

Ethanol tends to eat old rubber parts, but I use it all the time with no problems. If you drive her all the time, less likely to cause problems.

Perhaps you should ask your maintenance provider. But ethanol basically corrodes rubber parts (eg gaskets in your petrol pump). Ethanol also consume/burn faster than petrol. The increased use of Ethanol (E10) is used because of governmental quotas regarding more enviro friendly gas. Although, newer cars are equipped with stronger rubber parts and can withstand E10. Attached is the list of cars that can run on E10, unfortunately, Ferraris are not mentioned in the list. (In Swedish..)

This is like cancer. No immediate breakdown but you are facing problems, beginning with the seals in the tank.
