Max will definitely return the favor and the British media will still go nuts.......it's their narrative. Lewis CAN ONLY do it but no one can do it to Lewis.....puhhhhleeeese!!.
Mercedes had Verstappen all-clear before British GP celebrations By:Jonathan Noble Jul 22, 2021, 8:44 AM Mercedes has explained it only went ahead with its British Grand Prix victory celebrations because it had been told by Red Bull and the FIA that Max Verstappen was uninjured.
Odd that Mercedes knew so much before Sky Sports had an opportunity to tell all the viewers watching the broadcast. Lewis claimed in the post podium interview he didn't know Max was in hospital. So which is it: a) Lewis lied b) Mercedes lied c) Mercedes forgot to tell Lewis, and he didn't think to inquire because so focused on celebration
I think Marko needs to take a long walk and cool down. Getting lawyers involved is going to help only one party - the lawyers. And let’s not forget, Max is probably the most aggressive driver on the grid. If the rules get tightened up to further penalise contact, Max is likely to lose out more than most. Redbull need to focus on what’s ahead, not what’s behind. They have the fastest car. They have the fastest driver. They have a better than 50% chance of winning the championship but only if they stay focused and avoid getting drawn into mind games and legals.
Yep. All Max needs to do is stay clean, Hammy can’t afford to go near him for fear of facing a multiple race suspension right now, that will be negated if there’s any retaliation. The Cans should use the advantage Hammy’s gifted them to the fullest and lock down the WDC early.
Agreed. But are Marko, Horner and Max capable of keeping a lid on their emotions? Fortunately, there is only one more race before the summer break - Hungary. This should be a total RB walk over. But if the RB team lose their minds and fail to perform, at least they will have a month to get over it before the circus kicks off again. Right now, I expect Mercedes are loving the RB melt down and histrionics. Merc are world class when it comes to mind games and RB appear to be children at it.
+1. Amateur hour at RedBull. Not a forward looking team. How long to actually hire a good consistent experienced driver to compliment Max?
Prove its not true. Have fun. You have none. Mercedes are one of the more open teams on the grid in terms of comms. Post your proof. If anything it shows they had a good picture on the PR issues surrounding the incident. The ONLY revisionist team involved is RedBull. Marko and his Lawyer lol. Pathetic immature toxic team of RedBull. A collision and their world ends. Says much more about their weaknesses does this than strength for RedBull. If one wants to appear weak due what RedBull is doing.
Perez typically is one of the most consistent drivers in F1. Last 2 races where ****ing horrible. @DF1 Serious question, who should they have hired that was available? Forget about 2021 performance, that's something that could not be foreseen by anyone unless they possess the ability to tell the future.
They never seemed to care about actual development- just toss them near Max and see what arrives. I’m thinking this forum was hoping Perez would be picked as a majority. I thought he would do well. The press certainly pushed it. On surface he is a consistent points scoring fairly disciplined driver. Russell is the next big move to watch. Wisdom is he will be amazing. Most of the F-1 world expected Perez to be a strong 2 to Max. I admit this. I thought this was a sound strategic move by RedBull. Press all teams were in agreement. Sainz seems a touch more sorted but not a large threat to Charles yet.
I believe the choice was either Checo or Hulkenberg. I thought that Perez was a good choice but expected him to be closer to Max. Sometimes yes, sometimes not. Carlos was an excellent choice. IMO Max, Lewis and Charles are in a class by themselves.
Yes. Not much hope for anyone to really be close to Max, LH or Charles!! Russell could be one to challenge more fully LH.
Is anyone else bothered by having to root for the toxicity of Max and RB in order that Merc does not get 8 in a row ?
[Autosport] RedBull is still considering FIA action after the F1 clash with Hamilton which cost the team $1.8million and broke Verstappen's seat.
Don't the teams have a special budget allowance in case of damage or destruction following a major incident/accident? For example Grosjean's car was burnt to a crisp last season, and the team probably couldn't retrieve anything.
