I bought 308 GT4 14642 last fall, and my mechanic is replacing the water pump. The fuel lines, especially the high pressure lines feeding the carbs look very worn and frayed. Does anyone have a source for these.
    Thanks for your help.

Fuel pump for carb 308s provide fuel at low pressure for weber carbs. 3-5 psi. Get too high and you will overfill the carbs and fuel will dump into the cylinders and affect your engine operation.

If they have not already been replaced I would also do the short hoses on the crossover pipe between the tanks, the large diameter hose from the fuel filler to the LH tank and all of the tank vent lines.

Even low pressure can produce big fire.

If you don't need original look, SAE J30R9 fuel injection hose is far superior to most commercial fuel line, it is ethanol proof, and will stay flexible much longer than typical J30R7 fuel line found in most auto parts stores. It isn't cheap.

Make sure you clamp the fuel hoses very good. They should not twist on the tubing when tightened correctly.

The fuel hose clamps I used are ABA 21011. You can find them on Amazon and Ebay. Usually 10 to a pack. They clamp very good. The original clamps would not clamp very well and twisted very easily. I did not want any fuel leaks above engine / exhaust.

Make sure you get the new Barricade fuel hose that has the special inner coating that is compatible with today’s gasoline/petrol.

What is the SAE rating on it? R9 or R14?
