    LOL, he's had more cars than I've had hot breakfasts. He's 80 in January and I think he wants to try as many cars as he can before the shows over!!

    Vs generally 10l of fuel for 100kms in a conventional car.

    My i3 does 10-12kwh/100km. I pay 18c per kWh for electricity.

    So $15 petrol in your example or around $2 in electricity in my i3

    Just have to wait till those cars are comparable in price with petrol cars and charging infrastructure to be in place..
    Hope by then the electricity charges will not be as much as fuel cost

    Just wait indeed. The majority of ev owners plug their cars in at home. The people who built and run our electricity distribution networks will tell you that it's already on the verge of collapse due to too much intermittent solar and wind and that 10% of cars requiring regular charging will create rolling blackouts.
