Matte paint with STEK PPF. It actually changed the color a bit. I will look up the original color and get back to you.
I am really targeting the British Racing Green. I almost did my inbound STO in that color. I am trying to determine if Verde British is the same PPG paint code with just a different name. I want the non-metallic flat green of true BRG.
Cadster. Not sure if this helps but looks like a different code. https://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcodedisplay.cgi?ditzler=923270 https://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcodedisplay.cgi?color=Verde%20British%20Racing&tditzler=48698&rows=150
Finalizing my TM spec now - anyone have specific recs for tech options? Right now I have adaptive front headlights, suspension lifter, parking camera, hi-fi and full electric seats. I I have left off surround view so I do not have the ugly front camera. Just wondering if I am missing anything.
Some owners have noted a large blind spot with the rear buttress design Ferrari went with. Though I appreciate your aesthetic considerations concerning 'surround view'. Which paint and interior color did you go with as tailor made opens a world of possibilities?
Process started almost 2 years ago and with COVID kept getting pushed back. Excited to have it finally done. Wanted something classic with it reminding me of cars 60 years ago. Went with Grigio Brunito for exterior with livery in Grigio Ingid and Bianco Mille Miglia. Adding some special old school touches and not one piece of carbon.
Your paint color Grigio Brunito sounds rather dark and brooding! The Grigio Ingrid for the livery is an inspired choice that should create an amazing result with the dark color contrast. NO carbon is an interesting diversion from the norm these days to. Thank you for sharing some of your design ideas; hopefully Ferrari will get building your tailor made Ferrari soon! Engine turned aluminum for the dash trim???
Apple CarPlay? OK, it's ridiculously pricey, but what isn't? And, yes, it's less effective in the tiny infotainment screen available. That said, I go on enough long trips that I'd really like the ability to use my iPhone's nav apps (with free map updates and tight integration with calendar and contacts) without having to pick up the phone (since I still haven't found a cell phone mount that I really like). I would spec it if I were ordering a car, but I get that for a lot of folks (most?), the need just isn't there.
This color is simply called Brunito on this 612 but it is paired with the Grigio Ingrid he is using on his livery paint, quite the contrast there. Perhaps he will share the tailor made Grigio Brunito paint sample... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Pic of all three colors. Grigio Brunito can turn dark in shade and in bright sun has a lot of gold flake with almost a purple hue. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Right, I know brunito. That is the light/cloudy brown on that TDF with the heritage interior that was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris couple years ago, was bought by someone in Dubai. Never knew it was called Grigio Brunito, always thought it was Brunito. Anyway, great spec - tasteful! Here a Video: watch at 2:40
I didn't like the front camera/radar as well but I highly recommend the rear radar given the massive blindspot over your shoulder when reversing out of car parksa, driveways etc. Works well in my GTS and wished I had it in my Superfast.
Boy oh boy, this section of the forum sure smells fancy ... almost feels like I should be wearing pants to post here. Almost. Anyhoot, it's probably all for not but I just threw my hat into the GTS order algorithm and submitted my build. Who knows if the Italian gods will accept it, but it's fun to think that half a million dollars of my money is at someone else's discretion. And by fun I mean confusing. Hopefully my order will be picked up and I can add the GTS to the 458 Spider as examples of things that are awesome and will never be built again. And I don't mean just naturally aspirated awesomeness, I mean my limited collection of Ferraris that have tiny rear windows that can be lowered to hear the exhaust when it's raining ... by far the most joy to window ratio ever created by mankind. That's the market I'm trying to corner. #nichevitrification
Is that your red 16M convertible with the thin black livery stripe Remo has on the lot? Are you getting a GTS?
Your spec is absolutely spectacular! Bravo! Thoughts on other options that come to mind: CarPlay- Agree its expensive, but it gives you a measure of future proofing, and I think the criticism that it is difficult to use is over done- sure its not quite the best implementation, but it works and Waze is an excellent assistant at times. Passenger Display- we all know the pros and cons- but it does add another dimension for the passenger and your car is specced to be a keeper. Heat insulating windscreen- Not sure if they offer this with the GTS but it does help reduce the demands on the AC. It may reduce the range on dash or windshield mounted electronics such as toll pass and radar detectors. Let me add one thing, its entirely personal, but have you tried out the race seats? I tried the standard seats and I thought they were fine, so that’s how I ordered my car. It turned out after some time I wished I ordered the race seats- they just fit me better. Just something to consider in case you have not tried them out. Congratulations again on a really beautiful and individual spec! Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
