Phew! Would you also believe that I imported 20,000 KN95 masks from China in March/April 2020 and netted about $5k on them, having sold them primarily to local medical professionals, a nonprofit nursing home, and first responders at WAY below what was then market price? My state made that business illegal shortly thereafter so could not scale.
FDA registered and had them tested at a local hospital. Used by both docs in my immediate family, and one in my extended. Completely legit. Sorted through a few dozen vendors to find these.
Which camp have you got your foot in here, the Qld or NSW ?? ATM the NSW one has got it all wrong and the Qld one .....well you can see the difference. This is,of course,if you're talking purely success in keeping Q/landers CV free and and NSW in a traincrash...
Is this you? https://www.smh.com.au/business/banking-and-finance/us-man-pleads-guilty-over-430m-attempted-covid-fraud-on-nsw-20210730-p58ec1.html
The "NSW" in that story is the NSW Dept of Health. They were saved from their own incompetence by US law enforcement "NSW did begin the process for transferring the conmen $100,000, but that payment was stopped by US Authorities before it was received by the fraudsters." Maybe I met all the wrong people during my time working with Health depts, but the ones I did know were consistently incompetent. And these are the people running the zero Covid strategy...
When the history of fchat is written, I believe my post is a candidate for the most elegant trolling award. (and yeah, when's the spa'n'goat party?)
Yep 100% especially those on purchasing committees. I was a Staff Specialist at one of the biggest teaching hospitals in Sydney about 20 years ago. Our department purchased an ultrasound machine at that time for about $400k. Not long after, I left for private practice and our group bought the same machine for $150k. The company sales guy told me it was usual practice to bump up the price for public hospitals as their purchasing people were completely clueless. Some incredibly gifted clinicians in our public system (including myself ) leave, primarily to leave all that BS behind
