You're absolutely correct, a dealer offered me 225K for my 2014 red/tan with 10K on it, so the prices are creeping up as the inventory is drying up.
The 458 Italia market peaked about a month ago... inventory is absolutely rising (and prices are slowly declining). I'm not saying the market isn't strong (say 20-30% YoY price appreciation) and good money can still be made. Only a fool would call the peak... call me foolish.
On what do you base this precise call of the "peak" happening a month ago? I don't search for anything other than red and don't see a decent sub 15k mile car listed for under $220k.
458s right now are not a good buy. Might as well get a 488. You are talking about some 458s going for what their new sticker msrp was, with miles on them and no warranty. I may drop down to a 430, which is still more reasonable or a different car in an f12, which seems to be more reasonably priced around 200k, with a 400k sticker. Good luck on your search
this reminds me of the housing market. every year i said this is the top of the market, yet it just kept going out. i missed out on buying some great houses because of this. not saying its the same, but it could be that a new bar is set for 458's.
I hear ya regarding the housing market... if only I could fit my wife, kids and dog into a 458! "F"ELOC applications must be insane right now, lol.
I been in the market for a 458 but the prices are crazy. Honestly I don’t know who’s buying the cars out there right now. All the cars that are listed have been for sale for months Prices are up but is anyone buying these cars? I refuse to pay 210- 230k for a car that was 170k before Covid I will just sit out for the time being.
Rosso Corsa I have a feeling this is where the market will stay for quite a long time. A lot of people are choosing a 458 over 488 and F8. Better sound, still cheaper (mostly), and arguably a better investment!
Yes, I for one just bought my 2nd one a few months ago. It has some mileage but an amazing spec. The 458 is truly special. They may not surpass the newer cars in price point but they will hold their value for years to come imho. If you find the right car you might have to pay up a bit for it but its really worth it.

the same people saying 458 prices are unreasonable right now will be the ones cheering for prices to rise (after they find one )
Wow... 210K for a 2010... No backup sensors/camera... Some options... Buttons look like ****... Amazing sellers market.
430 of course. Is a 458 worth 2X a 430? Its not 2x the car. A 488 is a preference. But in general a 488 is faster, newer, handles slightly better(per reviews)
Well sure. For the owners, that have been able to drive for free and picked one up at a reasonable price. Im happy for them. But whether I owned one or not, when you are looking at a 8 year old 458, with no warranty, and 20k miles going for what it sold for new. Its not a good buy, compared to the car above it, and the one below it.
The early ones? Why do you think the transmission was replaced on the 2010 I looked at?! 2010s and some 2011s had transmission issues (it was actually a sensor). Look it up!
