This is interesting as I have it as a Euro 308 GTS QV that was totaled in 1998.

Thanks for clearing up those other cars; I'm still skeptical on 44487 until I see a picture of a VIN - not that I don't trust your information, but the coincidence is a bit odd.

 

One thing I can tell you with 100% accuracy is that I'm not perfect. I believe my info is right but I think I'm right every time my wife and I have an argument. She then reminds me that I'm wrong

Yes, the car is now Red/Black with a Chevy engine and 6 speed. May I ask how you acquired this information? Would you have any information on who performed the conversion? The conversion work looks to be very professionally done.

 

I saw it advertised on Craigslist just recently, but I have no further information or details of who did the conversion.

 

Both lists are very interesting. I have 28341. It is a RHD 400i. (Early 400i from the numbers I understand). If anyone has any more history on that car I would be interested.

purchased an 82 400i, 39995 last fall. Off the road since 2001, stored in a barn up in northern california. Black/black manual swapped in the 80's. I believe i'm the third owner. Anyone with any more info? Past owner had the car from the late 80's i believe.

Thanks, Alabama 2000 was when it was last registered with the second owner. He lived in california but kept the Al registration since he also had property there, and it would be difficult to get california legal. It's currently sitting at 43k km, i've got it running and driving, next up is all of the rubber, hoses, bushings etc.

Any info on 38095? I bought it in August 2015 . What I know is it was a Pozzi car, it spent some time in Paris and was sold at an auction there. Then it went to a collector / car dealership owner in Quebec is my understanding. I bought it in Quebec from a dealer I know who acquired it from the collector. The car has a Belgium spec rear fog thats hardwired into the car so Ferrari rearranged the badging on the tail panel to make it fit, it's not an added-on light.

Well it was still in France in 1997, as it attended the event Ferraris at the Grand Prix de L'Age D'Or, Monthléry, on 21-22 Jun 1997. Presumably it was registered in Belgium early on as it has a Belgian compliance plate (as mentioned before) and the rear fog light as you highlight.
