Hi I am looking for a 308 GT4 steering wheel in order to replace my non-original one. My car is a 1975 308 GT4 (euro model, of course). I would like to know the price of this kind of item and their availability. Thanks for any help BR Olivier, France
The CORRECT steering wheel is not avail as a new part. It should be a 3 spoke Momo, with silver spokes, solid spokes, & almost 15" in diameter. There are some used ones out there, but you can expect to pay quite a bit for them.
Thanks Dave, Yes it's the kind of wheels I am looking for. Any idea what price they can reach ? __________________ Olivier '75 308 GT4 But french wine is far better...
I met someone a few years ago that had found New/Old stock.. I have recently heard Momo was going to reproduce some of the older patterns as well.....for vintage applications. Only other source would be FerrariUk Classic Parts department...... I also met a gent at 2004FFQC with two, he drives with one and changes to a brand new one for judging.....
Tex, Momo is indeed releasing some of the older wheels. Sorry to say, not the one for the GT4/400/400i/308. Ferrari UK says NLA. I tried them.
<laughing> just noticed the last line in your message. We could debate that one I've seen really nice used wheels bring $600 US. Beat up ones that you won't want bring around $150 US.

Well...I tried to upload a pic I have of my steering wheel, but I know it does not take 5 minutes to transfer a 96kb file - something must be wrong with the server, as I know my connection's good.
Here is the correct steering wheel for a GT4. It is the same as an early 400/400i/308. Roughly 15" in diameter. . Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have been looking for the same wheel for my '78 308. I did manage to find the prototipo with the holes in it but no solid spokes. I started stripping the finish off mine and found out it's really in decent shape under all that worn lacquer. I'm going to put the "hole-y" one on and work on re-finishing the stock one for now. BTW, the stock one is slightly larger than the new one too. .
