Nope. I bought it and I don't really feel like sharing what I paid any more than what I have said already. But it was offered for sale at RM a few years ago and didn't meet the reserve so I'll share a link to that. It's in the same condition (well, they're doing a full service now as part of the sale) and the mileage is still the same.

I would like to play super sleuth. If this is the BBi I think it is, and I would bet the farm that it is, I have seen this car on many occasions. Kurt truly did a bang up job on the restoration. He should be proud of his work. The past owner is an auto enthusiast. Black is the correct color for a Boxer!

I agree with that. When you see some of the blues or the metallic burgundy of Peter's in Denmark, you see that different colors work on the Boxer incredibly well.

I seriously considered a white one at one point and there was something interesting about a white boxer, even though white is not typically one of my preferred colors.

FWIW, I looked at a ton of them and PPI'd a a few before striking gold with this one (including one at a very highly rated official Ferrari dealership). Just like Daytonas, it's hard to find a really nice, really well cared for Boxer these days. They're getting older and they're very engineered cars. There's a lot to keep up on. Many people don't. Finding a good Boxer today is harder than many think.

its tough to find a well sorted boxer.

a boxer is a super special car, but most do not realize it.
its like having an original road going gt40 - it is set up like a race car, and did some track time in anger.

I think you will nowhere find a forum with so many technicians who help you here for free than at this forum here. you may read a little about all the problems the cars have

 

I get what the new guy is saying, sites like this are for enthusiasts. Guys with mega collections don’t generally participate on enthusiast sites. You will see a lessening of forum traffic as a model goes from being “a cool older car” to “truly collectible” and enthusiasts get priced out.

There were several 512 BB/BBIs that sold this weekend. The range was $225k to $425k. The majority of them needed considerable work to get to a sorted and correct car. Some were far from correct. The $425k sale was a purported low mile BBI.

 

Even this highly modified BBI pulled the bottom end of the range:

I left Hagerty after they raised their rates on me almost 100% several years back. I was with them for over 15 years with no claims. They gave no explanation.
